.

To electrify the LCV market in India, RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd partners with EVR Motors, an Israeli company. EVR will design and co-develop electric motors with RSB.

By partnering with EVR Motors, Israel, who are the leading design innovators in the EV segment and have created a benchmark to make EVs more effective and accessible with a rich portfolio of global clients, RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd. has entered the EV segment as part of its diversification strategy to tap into the large market potential in the LCV segment. In the presence of RK Behera, Chairman, and SK Behera, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, RSB Group, the agreement was signed.

Opher Doron, CEO, EVR Motors, Israel, stated: “This partnership with RSB is not only a vote of confidence in our breakthrough e-motor technology, but another milestone in the rapid business momentum we are experiencing. The recent business developments in Asia show that the light commercial vehicle sector would like to enjoy the same benefits that our TSRF technology brings to other EV segments like 2W, 3W, and buses. This agreement combines RSB’s sector-leading engineering and manufacturing with EVR’s innovative motor design to lead the field in cost-effective, low-weight, high-performance powertrains.”

Nishit Behera, Executive Director, Business Strategy, RSB Group, spoke at the event and announced that EVR will design and co-develop electric motors for the LCV segment with RSB. The motors will be based on the 30–50 percent lighter and smaller Trapezoidal Stator Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (TS-RFPM) Motor from EVR. As part of the arrangement, RSB and EVR will collaborate to create a range of LCV motors. In addition, EVR will help RSB set up its assembly line. RSB will produce and market the e-motors to Indian car OEMs. He went on to say that the 16th Autoexpo 2023 will feature new products and launches from January 12 to January 23 at Pragti Maidan (Hall No. 4, Stall No. 4, and Booth No. 66).
