Samir Surlaker hangs his boots

Samir Surlaker, Managing Director of MC-Bauchemie (India) Pvt Ltd retired after 38 years of service.

 Samir Surlaker, one of the frontiersman and advocates of the construction chemical industry, retired from day to day management as Managing Director of MC-Bauchemie (India) Pvt. Ltd.  His retirement comes in after an association of 38 years with MC-Bauchemie Germany.
A Civil and Structural Engineer, Surlaker has over 40 years of National and International experience and exposure in Concrete Technology and Construction Chemicals  in Germany, Europe, Middle East, Far East and India. He has delivered over 800 lectures nationally and internationally and training programs all over India and overseas. His over 100 technical papers and Articles are published in several national and international engineering journals in the field of construction chemicals. Samir is also co-author of Handbook of Advanced Concrete Technology. He has been a Recipient of Outstanding Contribution to Concrete Technology Award, 2005 by ICI, Recipient of Outstanding Concrete Engineer Award by ICI-Ultratech, Goa. Under his leadership MC-Bauchemie was awarded the Best Construction Chemicals Manufacturing Company in 2015 by Builder’s Association of India.

Surlaker, founded MC India in Collaboration with MC-Bauchemie, Germany in 1985 and has been instrumental in promoting the brand to one representing Trust and Reliability. MC-Bauchemie set a benchmark India in maintaining high technical standards under his leadership. MC is one of the companies in India to have a state-of-the-art production facilities, dedicated training centre and concrete technology lab for their own staff and training of applicators and clients.

Now the company will be run by Holger Pohlmann, Country Manager, MC-Bauchemie (India) Pvt. Ltd and   Pinaki Mukherjee, General Manager MC-Bauchemie (India) Pvt. Ltd.
