High Quality Steel:
Sathyam Steel manufactures Roofing sheets by using high quality Al-Zn alloy coated steel and Pre-Painted Galvanized steel. In General two grades of steel are used for roof and wall cladding applications, which are 550 Mpa and 240Mpa respectively. 550Mpa materials are called as “High tensile Steel”. High tensile steel (550Mpa) is preferred for roof and wall cladding especially in coastal areas because of its inherent properties and benefits.
After extensive research, study and tests, the Metal Building Manufactures Association (MBMA) had recommended roof slope of 1:10 as best suited and optimal for steel roofing sheets. Sathyam Steel Roof subscribes to this standardization process. However, designers are free to choose slope of their choice keeping factors like heat dissipation, operational requirements, energy conservation and environmental factors in mind. Our profile is suitable for adaptation to slope as designed.

Steel-Klip is a long-length roof and wall cladding system. It is strong, durable and versatile, giving the strength and advantages of steel. Its smart fluted pans and a lock-action rib, when combined with concealed fastening, make it a practical material for use on applications from roof pitches as less as 1 degree to vertical or horizontal ribbed walling.
Steel-Klip System – its characteristics:
Concealed Fastening: With fixing clips to effectively secure Steel-Klip to steel or timber supports, the system allows concealed fastening without puncturing the steel. Steel-Klip may also be screwed to steel or timber supports.
Economical Construction: Steel-Klip is designed with deep rigid ribs to allow wide support spacing so that it can offer economy in construction.
Minimum Roof Slope: It is recommended that a minimum slope of 1 in 50 or approximately 1 degree be provided. Also ensure that supports are in the same plane. Variation at the time of fixing – or the uneven shrinking of timber supports that may take place later – can cause a zero or negative fall. However, it is wise to provide for a minimum slope of 1 in 30 (approximately 2 degree) to ensure a positive fall and avoid any danger of ‘Ponding’, which could lead to a reduced service life.

Composite slabs are a very practical and economical means of creating a floor system and works particularly well in conjunction with composite beam construction.

Basic Building Parameters
Building Length
Whenever possible Maintain equal bay lengths throughout the building. When this is not possible make all interior bays equal and make the end bays equal but shorter than the interior bays.
Building Width
Whenever possible make building width a multiple of 3m. This is because roof purlins are speced at 1.5m on centers and 3m is equal to two purlin spacings one on each side of the ridge. Sathyam Steel Pre-Engineered buildings are custom designed to meet your exact requirements.
The basic parameters that define a pre-engineered building are:
Building Width: No matter what primary framing system is used, the building width is defined as the distance fro outside of eave strut of one sidewall to outside of eave strut of the opposite sidewall.
Building Length: The Distance between the outside flanges of endwall columns in opposite endwalls is considered the building length. Building length is a combination of several bay lengths.
End Bay Length: The distance from outside of the outer flange of endwall columns to center line of the first interior frame column.
