SDLG has launched two new compact wheel loaders 3-tonne-rated L936L and 4-tonne-rated LG946L in India during the recently concluded Excon 2017.

The two new wheel loaders, already available in other Asia-Pacific markets, are displayed at SDLG’s outdoor booth 24 alongside the brand’s bestsellers – the LG958L wheel loader and the G9138 motor grader.

“Compact wheel loaders are becoming increasingly popular in India as customers start seeing the efficiency gains that they deliver for specific jobs — such as material handling, truck loading and stockpiling — over utilitarian ones like backhoe loaders,” said Sanu George, head of SDLG in India.

With the introduction of SDLG’s two smaller-capacity wheel loaders, customers now have more models to choose from in the 3-tonne and 4-tonne rated range to meet growing demand.

“With the L936, customers now have a second option to the existing LG933L. “Plus, our first 4-tonne-rated wheel loader also helps bridge the gap between our 3-tonne and 5-tonne wheel loaders,” George said. “Both wheel loaders feature Weichai Deutz Tier III engines, which deliver lower lifecycle costs through efficient engine design.”

The L936L is the successor to the LG936L, which SDLG stopped selling in India earlier this year. The L936L has a maximum bucket capacity of 1.8 cu.m., and a maximum dumping distance of 1.2 metres. The compact wheel loader is 2.5-metre wide, 3.2- metre tall, 7.3- metre long, and has an operating weight of 11,340 kg.  The LG946L has a maximum bucket capacity of 2.5 cu.m. and a maximum dumping distance of 1- metre. With a maximum operating weight of 13,000 kg, the LG946L is 2.7- metre wide, 3.2- metre tall and 7.2- metre long.
