Sika facilitates innovative solutions in Indian construction chemical market

Sika India is one of the leading players in the field of construction chemical. In an interaction with B2B Purchase, Sika’s Business Director- Flooring and Building Finishing, Rajesh Joshi gives an overview about its flooring innovative products and other important aspects.

What’s your strategy for bringing new flooring products in the Indian market?
We have recently launched one innovative flooring product called Sikafloor MultiDur under the epoxy flooring range, this product will give lot of versatility to the applicator as applicators can do coating, self levelling, decor finish, textured finish with one single product, also this product has 24 months self life and we will supply clear resin and pigment separately so managing the inventory will be very easy for the applicator and they can start flooring application job on the day they get the order, in the past Sika had launched various unique products like Epocem, which is moisture barrier system which can work at any moisture level of the floor and this product ensures that the epoxy topping is never debonded due to higher moisture in the concrete floor and recently launched one more product called Sikafloor Joint XS which will solve the expansion joint floor problems.

What are the USP of your flooring solution and how unique it is?
• Sikafloor MultiDur one single product which can give multiple finishes.
• Epocem ensures that epoxy topping is never debonded and for fast track projects, one can start epoxy flooring laying job within one week of concreting,
• Sikafloor Joint XS for expansion joint floor treatment with this unique product one can get seamless floor movements for trollies.

How do you see the market demand?
Flooring market is growing every year and we expect more demand in the market with make in India initiative by Govt of India and growth in every sector.

Could you briefly tell us about your journey in the field of construction market?
