SML to revolutionalise man and material movement

In our effort to ban the unsafe builder hoist, we have come up with a product called Spartan Multifunctional Minilift (SML) which is expected to replace the obsolete technology.

Spartan is one of the market leaders in Rack & Pinion hoists with its trend-setting Aviator Series of Passenger and Multifunctional R&P Hoists. Spartan is now entering into wire rope driven hoists, to bridge the gap of the price competitiveness and safety. “Spartan, being manufacturer of the safest machines has recently launched a product, which would revolutionalise man and material movement for the project height in between 70 and 130 metres,” informs Dr. Vikram Mehta, Managing Director, Spartan Engineering Industries Pvt Ltd.

Spartan Multifunctional Minilift
“In our effort to ban the unsafe builder hoist, we have come up with a product called Spartan Multifunctional Minilift (SML) which is expected to replace the obsolete technology,” avers Dr. Mehta. The product comes in two variants: SML 100 (carrying capacity – 1 tonne) and SML 50 (carrying capacity – 500 kgs). It is a wire rope driven Minilift which can carry various material through different attachments and is very cost-effective. It carries almost everything required at construction site as it comes with various attachments like passenger MiniCage, rebar carrier, bricks carrier, material bucket, twin wheel barrows and glass or marble lifter depending on the model one chooses, thus making it multifunctional.

The product is designed with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), which analyses the structural, static and dynamic load requirement, load deflection characteristics and working conditions of the end application. He adds, “It confirms the strength and sturdiness of important parts like Jib so that it doesn’t topple while lifting load, thereby giving the customer peace of mind.”
Optional accessories used for SML
• Anti-swing arrangement to avoid the attachments hitting the surface of the building.
• Intermediate platform to unload attachment in case of chajja.
• Platform access ramp with base enclosure to locate the premises and safe people movement
• Control panel with overload alarm to avoid SML to operate if the material capacity exceeds the mentioned capacity.
• Wireless remote for the operator to operate conveniently and effortlessly.

Safety features of SML
• Double fall wire rope system which reduce swinging effect of load while lifting.
• Top limit switch preventing over travel.
• Motor with electromagnetic brake system, which prevents free fall in case of power failure.
• Made in Europe winch motor with CE certification, which has high performance and high efficiency.
• Free fall arrester brake device arrangement in case of failure of lifting wire rope.
• Erection jib for safe and fast assembly of gantry frame.
• Load cell arrangement which is activated in case of over loading.
• Arrester assembly arrests the glass lifter and passenger cage, thus making it easy and convenient to unload.
