In an exclusive interaction, R J Williams talks about the shift from traditional to digital operations and highlights how they are preparing to offer mobile plants and equipment.
Focus @ Bauma
BAUMA is one of the leading shows in North India, and we are eager to participate in taking advantage of this opportunity to showcase our product line to all North Indian customers. Also, as the world moves towards mobility, we will focus more on mobile options in equipment and plants.
Digital construction operations
Digitalisation is the need of the hour as the entire world is moving toward IoT and more remote-based operations. This shall help in maintenance activities, increase the availability of the machine by reducing downtime, and provide a more data-centric approach to plant operations, which thereby helps in increasing plant profitability by reducing OPEX and wastage.
Evaluating India’s export potential with indigenisation
India possesses the essential resources required for a self-sufficient country to produce goods for itself and other people. We did a great job of demonstrating this during the COVID vaccination scenario. We will be able to do the same for the infra-CE industry similarly. Good technology, plodding supply chain centres, youthful, dynamic workers, and the world’s delayed transition to a dollar- or yuan-free economy should all be viewed as speed or value boosters for us to become successful exporters.
Shift to sustainable construction
The transition will happen quicker if there is a greater switchover from fossil fuel-based processes to electric or green and grey hydrogen. The recycling sector will grow. Once again, mobile plants that are entirely electric or hybrid-based should receive more attention. Any planned development must undergo rigorous due diligence procedures to be more environmentally friendly and lasting.
Project safety requirements must be elevated to a worldwide level and should be taken into account from the beginning of the planning process. Furthermore, regulatory agencies should be established to monitor the effectiveness of the precautions taken in each project. Safety should be a priority.
Migration from conventional power sources to more green energy, using the latest Euro or Bharat engines, and more efficient drive systems are the best option.
