 Delhi-based Tirupati Structurals Ltd is a manufacturer and supplier offering PVC pipes, HDPE pipes, GI pipes, PVC fittings and storage tanks. The company is scurrying to beef up its relatively modest presence by expanding geographical reach and setting up additional facilities. Excerpts from an interview with the company’s Director Suyash Agarwal:

You are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of PVC pipes, HDPE pipes and GI pipes. How do you look at the performance of the industry?
The performance of the pipeline industry namely PVC and HDPE has been getting better with time. We are exporting GI pipeline and working in domestic market for HDPE and PVC. We have seen the shift from GI and MS to PVC and HDPE over the past two decades in the domestic market and now PVC is accepted throughout the market as the preferred pipe due to easy installation, light weight and longer life. The industry on the whole looks promising to us.

PVC pipes, HDPE pipes, GI pipes – what gives you better business today and why?
We are quality manufacturers of PVC, HDPE and GI and all these products have a huge scope in the market. We are currently focussed more on PVC and HDPE and also the plumbing sector namely UPVC and CPVC for hot and cold water supply. Our maximum business is derived from PVC and we are currently one of the largest in North India.

Did you add any new product to your diverse portfolio? If so, please explain its features.
We have recently got ourselves into blow moulded water tanks (3-layer and 4-layer) and also we are launching our plumbing pipes namely UPVC and CPVC with fittings soon into the market with a focus to provide clean and healthy water through our pipeline.

Features of TIRUPATI water tank include: Made from virgin plastic; UV stabilised; extra strong and durable; food grade material inner layer; weather proof, anti rust; more economical; and insect and dust free.

Features of TIRUPATI plumbing pipes include: Suitable for potable water supply; hot and cold water compatible; easy to install; seamless, strong, flexible and resilient with easy handling and transportation; simple and leak proof joints; good insulator; and high flow characteristics.

What are the application areas of these newly launched products?
Application areas for plumbing pipe are all types of buildings, salt water lines, dye plants, chrome, zinc plating and tanning plants, sugar, paper and distillery industries.

Blow moulded water tanks can be used in both residential and industrial buildings.

Brief us about your manufacturing capacity.
We have currently about 8 lac square feet of floor space with 4 multi location factories. Our current capacity is about 50,000-tonne of processing yearly. We are using the finest and the latest available machinery to manufacture our products.

Do you have any expansion plan in pipeline?
Our plan is to reach and cater the market which we are not able to serve from the current location.

Our expansion plans involves setting up of automised plants in North East and Central India namely Madhya Pradesh in the coming 2-3 years followed by
South India.
