Project procurement has over the years transcended from traditional item-wise purchase to bulk supplies. Traditionally, there were many different purchases made for every component or equipment, which increased paperwork and manpower costs resulting in increase in the project cost itself.
Mtandt can offer a comprehensive list of safety products and services for a given or identified project. This includes work at height devices on hire basis during the construction stage, PPEs, safety training to workers. After project completion, the company can continue to support its customers for anything and everything related to safety.
Considering cost
“To make the project cost within the targeted range, Mtandt offers products at the most reasonable costs. Having said that, the products and services offered by us actually result in lesser wastage, higher productivity and fewer incidents or fatalities, all of which contribute to lowering costs in the long run,” Sanjay Khanna, Managing Director, Mtandt Rentals Ltd.
The value of offerings justifies first-time costs which could be higher than other vendors, but proving to be more economical over a period of time.
Latest offering
Mtandt has always been in the forefront of technology and features. Adding to our current range of modern devices of work at height, the company has introduced ‘Portadeck’ – a unique concept of temporary access terrain during project stage. The USP of this product is its ease of handling, quick assembly and dismantling, protection of natural vegetation, lightweight yet high strength and stress features.
Expediting project completion
A typical project site would be raw land, slushy or muddy. With Portadeck, the terrain can become usable immediately, all heavy vehicles, including even cranes and other heavy equipment can start using these as temporary roads. This would reduce the project takeoff time and completion time as well.
While new innovative products and services are the need of the hour, equally imperative are the costs. If costs are prohibitive, it would remain merely as concept on paper. Mtandt has already rolled out plans of Make in India of a few products, including aerial work platforms and Portadeck. With this, the company hopes to contribute in a much better way towards lowering project costs without affecting performance.
“With the ‘Make in India’ initiatives, we are sure we will be able to contribute to more number of projects and if this gives us the critical volume, it may help us to become competitive internationally as well,” Khanna added.
While new innovative products and services are the need of the hour, costs are equally imperative.
