Vikash Singhal Director, Bhajjanka Ispat Pvt Ltd. in an interview with B2B Purchase.
Can you brief us about your key offerings for the construction and related industry?
Bhajjanka Ispat Pvt. Ltd., is constantly upgrading its equipment range, and solutions to suit the industrial requirements. Also, we have successfully delivered and commissioned our DISTRIBUTOR-Screening on wheels for municipal solid waste segregation. Our latest in line DISTRIBUTOR can segregate 4 type of products ranging from RDF, Small plastics, Stone chips and Compost. Our next in line series of Mobile Screening Equipments will feature a Double Deck Vibrating Screen on Track Assembly. In addition, we are working on a new line for Crushing Equipment with capacities of up to 350 TPH.
Our Sand Washing Plants are well-known in the industry, and SALVAGE is our most recent addition to this line. SALVAGE is a mobile washing plant with water recycling and product conveyors, all of which will be positioned just on chassis for easy installation and movement if necessary.
What are the key features of your product and solutions that makes them smarter and greener?
Bhajjanka Ispat Pvt. Ltd., as a company ensures that we work on equipment which is compact and loaded with latest technology, consumes less energy, and delivers maximum results. Further to this, we designed ENVIRON, considering the energy consumption and the need for greener solutions. It will be used in the Construction and Demolition (C & D) waste recycling industry. It has been successfully tested for the removal of light particles from C&D waste. Key features of the equipment include high capacity of 50 TPH, by utilising just 3.3 KW of power. Minimum power consumption also opens up the possibility of using solar panels attached to the system, which is a truly green solution. It is a compact unit that will take less than 24 hours to install and covers an area of approximately 180 square feet.
Other than this, we are also exploring the possibility of using hydraulic pumps for other our equipment that consumes less power.
Please share what makes your product the most preferred in the segment?
Bhajjanka Ispat Pvt. Ltd., is always keen to deliver best experience to our clients. Bhajjanka Ispat Pvt. Ltd., currently runs two manufacturing units in West Bengal. Unit-1, is based in Belgachia, Howrah, which looks after the production of Polyurethane and Rubber Spares. All our equipment are designed after considering the usage of similar sized spares, such as PU Panels, Hydrocyclones, Rubber Dampers and other parts, which makes it easier to stock. Our commissioning team, project team, and others are always in contact with our clients to ensure rapid action in the event of a breakdown.
What are your projection for the Crushing and Recycling Industry?
The GOI has been actively releasing infrastructure projects, which has played a major role in the rising demand for the crushing industry. Moreover, the Government of India’s CLEAN INDIA Campaign gave a significant boost to the recycling industry. Not only has the campaign brought many contractors to the recycling business, but its emphasis on fast processing, segregation, and recycling has created a need for improved technology and mobile equipment.
Looking at the advancements happening in the industry, we expect the demand to go up in the coming years, and we are also preparing ourselves with better equipment and a faster production process.
How do you look at the demand trend for your products?
The demand trend looks positive. Even last year, after lockdown, there was a sharp increase as projected by the industry. The demand for sand is expected to increase as we understand the necessity for infrastructure development in our country. Even the GOI has been investing heavily in this sector, and in providing infrastructure for medical services across the country.
We believe that several sectors will have remarkably rapid economic development after Covid-19, and that the GDP will recover. The Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ has really been beneficial for us. It has connected very well with our people, and the acceptance of Indian-made products in both private and public sectors has been phenomenal. As a result, we are becoming prone to make investments and be optimistic about the future. Moreover, the financial flow from banks has increased, resulting in a win-win situation for everyone.
How are you meeting the customer expectations of your range of products?
Bhajjanka Ispat Pvt. Ltd. family is committed to understand the customer requirements and expectations. We work very closely with our OEMs and end users to understand our product’s performance in the field, and whether any improvements can be made to increase their efficiency. By working closely with our buyers, development of next-gen models of our equipment and improvement of the current models has become easy for us. We are also actively looking for dealers and warehouses to distribute our items across the country.
What are your future plans on product and business expansions?
In addition to our existing product range, we have also launched a new fabrication unit, the first of its kind in Eastern India, with all the modern facilities of CNC Cutters, Shot Blasting, Painting, Rollers, and machining facility in house. We are looking forward to extend our efforts and contribute our resources to develop equipment for waste management and C&D Industry.
Recycling and segregation of waste is the need of hour, and after the current situation the increased usage of medical apparel and other sundries has made it even more important that we need to get serious about the waste not getting discarded and making its way into the rivers and ocean.
Apart from the new product line of equipment we are also looking forward to implementing new techniques to improve our existing products.
Can you elaborate on the recycling of waste for construction applications?
Due to increasing investments in the construction and infrastructure industries, construction and demolition waste (C&D) has become a huge burden, adding to the ever increasing dry waste being generated from the residential sector. Construction, renovation and demolition of buildings, roads, and bridges create debris. It consists mostly of inert and non-biodegradable materials such as concrete, plaster, metal, wood, plastics, etc. Some of these waste comes into the municipal stream.
These wastes are heavy, dense, and often bulky, taking up a lot of storage space on the road or in communal waste bins/containers. It is not uncommon to see huge piles of such waste, which is heavy as well, stacked on roads, especially in large projects, resulting in traffic congestion and disruption. Waste from small generators like individual house construction or demolition finds its way into the nearby municipal bin/vat/waste storage depots, making the municipal waste heavy, and degrades the quality for further treatment like composting or energy recovery.
Waste recycling will help in narrowing the aggregate industry’s demand-supply gap. Sorting, crushing, and sifting concrete and masonry waste into recyclable aggregate are viable options. This recycled aggregate may be used to make concrete for road construction and building materials.
Concrete and masonry trash, which account for more than 50 percent of building and demolition debris in India, are not currently recycled. However, nations including the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Denmark, Germany, and Japan recycle concrete and masonry debris.
