Enovation Controls is all prepped up to showcase its extensive range of equipment displays, mobile controllers, and equipment integration solutions. Adding We are also having the launch of a new series of displays called the Openview Series.

These are open-source Linuxdisplays and come with the reliability that our customers expect from Murphy or Enovation but at a great value proposition. These are specially designed for medium- to high-volume OEM customers, and BC India will be a great opportunity for our current and prospective customers to have a look at this series.
Which electronic controllers do you offer for construction equipment?
We offer a range of rugged input and output modules, power modules, hydraulic proportional valve drivers (both plug-in and remote mount), and our flagship UControls series of mobile controllers. The IX3212 is a power distribution module that helps an OEM improve the efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability of DC power on the equipment. It includes solid-state relays and built-in, cut-off, resettable fuses to protect your equipment while also powering high-current loads on the vehicle. This can reduce the complexity and cost of wiring harnesses on construction or mining equipment by more than 40 percent.

Can you brief us on your Murphy UControls line of products and solutions?
The UControls series is our flagship range of hydraulic and vehicle controllers. uControl mobile controllers are designed for extreme durability and precision control in high-heat and high-vibration environments. Featuring multiple CAN interfaces, open and short circuit protection, flexible universal inputs, and software selectable outputs, uControl mobile controllers are ready and scalable for a variety of equipment needs and applications. The series has MC2, MC3, MC4, and an MC4H8 (with high-current options).

How is the increase in the need for advanced equipment in the construction sector fueling your R&D and manufacturing capabilities?
OEMs today are focusing on “total equipment integration,” where all the features and technologies on the vehicle and beyond, like the user interface, hydraulic controls, interlocks, telemetry, etc., need to be integrated. Another trend we expect in India is the increasing rise of electrohydraulic in mobile machinery. The Enovation Controls design teams, working with our group technology team at Helios Center of Engineering Excellence (HCEE), have brought in the Openview Display range and the UControls range of mobile hydraulic controllers precisely to cater to these requirements. Adding to this, our concept of “In the Region for the Region” ensures that over the next 2–3 years, these products are built in the regions where they are sold.

What are your plans and projections to invest more in your manufacturing facility to serve the OEMs?
As a proud contributor to the “Make in India, Make for the World” philosophy envisaged and supported by the Government of India, Enovation Controls’ Pune facility is an integrated facility manufacturing displays, control panels, and integrated solutions. We opened our facility in 2020, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, and have come out strongly since then. The Pune facility today caters to our OEM customers in India and exports to our facilities in the UK, China, and our distributors and OEM customers in the ASEAN region and South Korea. We are continuously investing and look to double revenues in the next couple of years. So overall, we are looking forward to great times ahead, and we are sure that our OEM customers will surely benefit from a combination of manufacturing, application engineering, and sales all within the country of India.
