What are the types of chains and components offered by the company for material handling equipment?

Today, TIDC India is well-acquainted with larger manufacturing, engineering and product development facility to provide wide range of industrial chains and other power transmission products across industries. In case of material handling industry as such, we supply with conveyor chains, leaf chains, special coated chains, standard roller chains and make-to-order chains; which are carefully designed to provide durability, precision and longevity. As you know, 60 years of TIDC India as a company is built over the Trust in Quality of our chains and value addition we provide in our service.

How is the demand-supply scenario for your chains and components to different types of material handling equipment? Which segments drive the demand for your products?

There is always a consistent demand for our products in market and TIDC India is far equipped to handle the demand, the challenge is how efficiently and proactively we serve our customers proving a value addition and an engineering edge. It involves the efficient work of cross-functional team throughout the skeleton of the firm and aligning with rightful technology; that’s the way we work! Our chains basically go into: forklifts, stackers, hoists, container handling, straddle carriers, multilevel car parking, material storage equipment and many such applications in material handling industry.

Looking at the current market scenario, how do you see the opportunities and challenges for these products in future?

The global material handling equipment market size was $211.76 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach $320.90 billion by 2027, with a CAGR of 5.4 percent during the forecast period. With fast changing business landscape, companies are inclined towards replacing or upgrading their existing range of material handling equipment, thereby we see an increased potential in replacement market as well as the OEM space. Our Business Development team and New-Product Development team always work in parallel with our OEM customers to ensure a supply of value-added industrial chains as per their requirement; this allows us to grow along with the customers. This is the key mantra of TIDC India.

Do you also export these products and components?

Yes, our 50 percent of revenue is generated through our exports market. As you know, we have remained as a market leader in India under the brand ‘DIAMOND’ for decades and we have our strong presence in global market by the brand called ‘ROMBO’, supplying around 25,000 SKUs across 17 industries.

Any immediate expansion plans in terms of products?

Yes, recently we have launched a series of ‘high performance leaf chains’ under the brand SUPERMAX. This series of leaf chains was developed to address the pain points of our customers by improving fatigue strength and wear resistance, providing superior life even in difficult working conditions. The DIAMOND SUPERMAX leaf chains are carefully designed and manufactured with heavy-duty steel and lubricated with special lubrication which results in a reliable chain for tough applications.
