How do you ensure tower cranes are adaptable to new construction trends, methods, and technologies?
In the rapidly evolving construction industry, it’s important to ensure that Potain tower cranes are adaptable to new construction methods, technologies, and emerging trends. In India, this is being achieved through several initiatives.

Firstly, there is a focus on R&D to ensure that Potain tower cranes are designed to meet the changing needs of the
construction industry. This includes the development of new technologies and ensuring innovative integration of existing technology different ways. There is also an increasing emphasis on training and education to ensure that operators and other construction professionals are equipped with required skills use these new and innovative methods and technologies effectively.

Furthermore, there is a strong industry association that works closely with manufacturers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote innovation and ensure that the needs of the construction industry are being met.

Overall, India is taking a proactive approach to ensure that its tower cranes are adaptable to new construction
methods, technologies, and emerging trends.

Latest technology in tower crane the MCT range is one of the most impactful and most selling product range of POTAIN INDIA tower cranes in India.

Advantages:
• Manutention City Topless (MCT) stands for describing the topless feature of our tower crane.
• Potain Tower Cranes are designed to most updated European Standards (FEM 1.001, EN 14439) and generally compiles with the Standard Crane according to Class A3
• Are easy to install
• Cancels out the excess space occupied the cathead/hammerhead component.
• Biggest feature for MCT Range is interchangeability i.e. Inner climbing crane can be converted to External
( Fixed type crane) and vice versa.
• Reduced erection time which also reduced the dismantling time.
• Reduction in installation and dismantling costs.

Can you shed some light on recent advancements of Potain India that addresses the existing challenges and improves productivity construction challenges in India?
Potain India’s tower crane range has made several recent advancements and innovations that have significantly improved productivity and addressed specific challenges faced by construction projects in India.

We have introduced the MCT 85 and MCT 135 tower cranes, which feature advanced control systems and cutting-edge safety mechanisms that make them ideal for construction projects of all sizes and complexity. These cranes are designed to maximize productivity and efficiency while minimizing downtime, making them perfect for projects that require high levels of precision and accuracy.

We have also introduced several new technologies that help address the unique challenges faced by construction projects in India. For instance, our cranes are equipped with advanced sensors and monitoring systems that allow operators to remotely monitor and control crane operations, thereby improving safety and reducing the risk of accidents or equipment failure.

Overall, our tower crane range is constantly evolving and improving, with a focus on meeting the unique needs and challenges of the Indian construction industry.

What investments are happening in this area to maximise the potential of your tower cranes to optimise project outcomes?
One way is through the use of advanced technologies such as telematics, automation, and remote monitoring. These technologies can help improve crane efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase safety. Another approach is through the use of specialized crane accessories such as lifting beams, spreader bars, and jibs, which can help increase crane capacity and versatility. Finally, training and education programs for crane operators and technicians can help ensure that your tower cranes are being used to their fullest potential.

Which innovative technologies are adding strength to your construction equipment while operating in environmentally diverse conditions?
We, at Potain, have developed and evolved in the terms of technology over the years. We have introduced Hydraulic Luffing Cranes (MCH 125 & MCH 175) in the Indian market as the need for high rise buildings arise. Furthermore, earlier this year, we have installed our first Potain Hydraulic Luffer Crane MCH 175 in Mumbai, India.

Some of the key benefits of the new technology of our hydraulic Luffer Cranes are detailed below:
More precise control: Hydraulic luffing cranes offer more precise control over load movements, allowing for greater accuracy in positioning loads and reducing the risk of accidents.

Improved efficiency: Hydraulic luffing cranes are more efficient than mechanical luffing cranes, as they require less energy to operate and can move loads more quickly.

Ability to work in tight spaces: Hydraulic luffing cranes are typically more compact than mechanical luffing cranes, which makes them ideal for working in tight spaces where maneuverability is critical.

Reduced maintenance costs: Hydraulic luffing cranes require less maintenance than mechanical luffing cranes, which reduces downtime and maintenance costs over the crane’s lifespan.

With the government’s massive infra-expansion plans what opportunities do you foresee for your business in the coming years?
There is a tremendous growth in infrastructure as the need for high-rise buildings/skyscrapers is in demand.
With development happening almost around every corner the requirement for tower cranes has been at its peak. That is where potain India steps in, catering to the requirements of the site providing mechanical as well as safety advantage. Our cranes have been a part of ongoing prestigious projects such as the Jewar International Airport, Noida. The Pune- Mumbai missing link project, Khopoli. the Udyan Bhavan, Delhi. Here are one of the few examples of the work that has been carried out successfully by the cranes installed. We aspire to be a part of the major upcoming projects and foresee our cranes executing a smooth and efficient operation.
