Expert explains how aluminium formwork systems can result in fast, efficient, safe and eco-friendly construction

  The urbanisation in India has increased in past 20 years in a very rapid speed and expected to be 40 per cent of the total population by the end of 2030. Due to this urbanisation in India, the infrastructure need has also transformed by adaptation of the high rise residential complex culture which has increased fast construction need in the industry. Speed of construction
Many projects get delayed due to poor construction technique. According to John, some contractors feel that the cost of using the aluminium formwork system will increase the cost of the project which is incorrect. “The aluminium formworks provided by S-Form have a high reusability to approximately 250 times,” claims John.

He further adds, “When a project has identical floor the reusability of the product make it even cheaper than the tradition construction. Also it is very unique aspect that 50-75 per cent of the material used in project can be reused in the next projects.  This reduces the direct cost as well as the indirect cost of construction of the product.”

Usually, in the traditional construction, large number of workers is employed by the contractors without planning which increase the indirect cost of the projects, whereas in the era of aluminium formwork system this aspect is addressed. Also, since the quality of concrete work is excellent creating a surface that is smooth as glass, finishing costs can also be greatly reduced. Furthermore, the using method is simple so anyone can participate in the construction work which means major cost-saving for the project.

Safe
A building with a strong foundation will last for many decades. The formworks determine the strength of the framework for high rise buildings and apartments. Since a wide work space is secured compared to conventional methods, it gives more room for site workers to work and consequently a safer working environment is created as well.

Eco-friendly
As climate change grows more seriously, environment friendly construction is essential. “Aluminium formworks are much more efficient than other formworks as they are semi-permanent, thank to recycling facilities available in the aluminium industry,” says John. He further claims, “Our formworks can greatly reduce wastes at the construction site to help contribute to a better environment.”
