CASE and IIT Indore partner for innovation hub

CASE Construction Equipment, a prominent brand under CNH Industrial, has solidified its commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration between academia and the industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology – Indore (IIT Indore).
The CASE Centre of Excellence will have a range of laboratory equipment for technical assessment contributed by CASE under its CSR initiatives.
CASE Construction Equipment, a prominent brand under CNH Industrial, has solidified its commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration between academia and the industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology – Indore (IIT Indore). This strategic association is a pivotal component of CASE’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, aimed at promoting the exchange of ideas, knowledge enhancement, and research collaboration.
The MOU signing ceremony took place in the presence of key representatives, including Satendra Tiwari, Head of Manufacturing – Pithampur, CASE Construction Equipment, Professor Suhas S Joshi, Director, IIT Indore, and Dr. Partha Pratim Chattaraj, Sr. Vice President, Alumni & Corporate Relation, IIT Indore. The collaborative effort will materialise as the establishment of the CASE Centre of Excellence on the IIT Indore campus, scheduled to be operational by March 2024. This center will house a diverse range of laboratory equipment for technical assessment, generously contributed by CASE.
Kavita Sah, India CSR Head at CNH Industrial, emphasises the significance of this partnership, stating, “This collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Indore marks a pivotal step toward innovation and collaboration between industry and academia.” She highlighted CASE’s longstanding commitment to skill development in India across all industry levels. Sah expresses enthusiasm about equipping the new generation, academia, and industries with hands-on learning opportunities and essential skills and knowledge through this initiative.
As part of the MOU, IIT Indore will provide a fully equipped space with the necessary infrastructure and operators to run the facility efficiently, optimising its utilisation for testing and research activities. Faculty and students from IIT Indore will spearhead the testing and research initiatives, leveraging the cutting-edge facility. Importantly, the center will be open for external industries and organisations to use, promoting further research and knowledge sharing.
Professor Suhas S Joshi, Director of IIT Indore, affirmed that the upcoming CASE Centre of Excellence would significantly contribute to the institute’s growth. He emphasised that the collaboration had the potential to redefine research and development at the institute, strategically aligning with the evolving needs of the industry.

The brand manufactures a full range of construction equipment in India, producing machines for both domestic use and export to over 105 markets worldwide.
In its continuous efforts to enhance skill development, CASE has established a state-of-the-art training center at the Pithampur plant premises. This center covers nearly 900 square meters, featuring three classrooms and a practical workshop area capable of training up to 72 individuals simultaneously. Additionally, as part of the Hunar initiative, CASE has established a 1200 square feet Skill Development Center in Sonvai, Rau, near Pithampur, contributing to the training of 240 professionals annually. These initiatives underscore CASE’s commitment to nurturing talent and advancing skills in the construction industry.
