Today, as the infrastructure development is going around across the country, almost all such projects need to cut the trees coming in the way of the work. Gurgaon based Ajashy Engineering Sales Pvt Ltd has come up with a unique solution called Tree Spade that enables transplanting grown trees instead of cutting them down.
Ajashy Tree Spade, unveiled at the recently concluded EXCON 2017 in Bangalore, claims to be first of its kind tree transplantation attachment in India. The Tree Spade can be fitted as an attachment with wheel loaders or skid steer loaders which will prevent cutting of trees at the road and construction sites, informed Kamal Jeet Singh, Director, Ajashy Engineering.
He said, “The Tree Spade, cutting through the soil, uproots the trees along with the root ball, which can be transplanted at a new location. Thus, many full-grown trees can be saved contributing to environment while the project executing companies prevent the hassle of plantation and maintenance of new saplings whose survival rate is quite less.”
At EXCON, Ajashy used the platform to target construction companies in spreading the awareness and providing them with Tree Spades as an environment-friendly, cost-effective and time saving solution, informs Singh.
Enables faster project execution
Experts from road and infrastructure sectors have welcomed this idea of an alternative to cutting the trees. Jyotsna Dayal from Rocks ‘n’ Tools, Delhi was also present at the occasion. Her organisation offers landscaping and horticulture services including uprooting and transplanting trees across the country. Sharing her experience, she said, “We were involved in the execution of New Delhi airport’s Terminal 3 and had major problems in uprooting tree from there to make an entry to the airport.”
Talking on the advantages of newly launched Tree Spade, Ms Dayal said, “Earlier, it used to take 2-3 months for uprooting and transplanting a tree depending upon the sizes of the trees. Now, using Ajashy Tree Spade we can execute this job within 3 hours. This will also result in faster project execution.”
