Lingel started its operations in Germany in 1959 and came to India exactly 10 years ago, in April 2006, with its UPVC window products.
Lingel has a range of products including various types of windows and doors, window and door accessories like insect nets, hardware, and roller shutters. The product list also includes types of glass including laminated glass, tempered glass, insulated glass, bent glass, sound control glass, burglar resistant glass, and more. Recently the company has introduced a new set of products – its high-end aluminium windows and doors.
In India, Lingel has expanded its market starting from Delhi and Chennai, entering Bengaluru and then to most of the other cities.
Technology
Lingel Windows specialise in UPVC windows and doors made from synthetic plastic polymer, which have an expected service life of over 40 years.

USP of Lingel
Rather than selling through dealers, Lingel’s employees sell the products directly since it requires a lot of technical knowledge to explain the products and its proper installation. Hence, Lingel trains its employees on the technical aspects and the employees deal directly with the buyers.
Lingel has its own centres that design and manufacture systems in India, which are suitable for the local conditions. The company customises raw materials usage to suit extreme weather conditions in India, such as higher percentage of titanium oxide for long life, and protection from colour fading. Lingel’s weathering test in India runs for 8,000 hours with special xenon light. For sliding systems, the company provides the choice of one track to 5-track systems and a glass thickness of up to 24 mm. The company’s casement systems are able to carry the weight of each panel up to 120 kg and maximum glass thickness of 36 mm. Lingel claims to be the only UPVC fabrication company manufacturing 90-degree corner opening sliding doors. All its hardware are made of steel SS 304 and SS 316 for coastal areas, since they are rust free.
The company can also use all accessories and profiles from sliding sections in combination with the casement system, and in any required profile combination. For example, all glazing beads from sliding system can be used in their casement system and vice-versa. The result is the customer gets the best of windows made of the best profiles and hardware.
