Construction chemicals contribute to the high quality and durability of any construction. The construction chemicals industry in India is currently at a nascent stage but is growing at a rapid pace. The growth in the construction industry, combined with faster and safer construction, will propel the growth for the construction chemicals industry. According to the Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association (CCMA), the industry size is estimated at Rs. 1,800 crore and has the potential to grow to Rs. 5,000 crore by 2014.
In India, the construction chemicals industry currently represents a combination of organised and unorganised sector. In an order to promote the growth of the construction chemicals industry by raising the awareness and quality standards; the leading manufacturers in this segment have formed CCMA. The association also acts as a representative body for communicating with government, chambers of commerce, regulatory authorities and other forums, be it domestic or international.
CCMA provides a forum for construction chemicals manufacturers in India and promote the interest of its members in relation to commerce and industry in India. On that note, CCMA is going to organise the much-awaited Construction Chemicals International Conference (C3). Scheduled to be held on 17th and 18th February in Mumbai, the conference will focus on the correct usage of construction chemicals and how such usage can significantly enhance the quality of construction and durability of structure.
Many eminent speakers, national and international, will be presenting their papers on various subjects and share experience and expertise for the benefit of all the participants. Being organised on the theme of “Emerging Materials, Methods and Practices”, C3 is supported by many professional associations in the country.
The conference is expected to be attended by key project owners, architects & builders, EPC contractors, consultants, applicators, civil engineers and construction industry professionals. The event would be a gathering of construction chemical industry decision makers, construction industry professionals, international and national advisory committee comprises of who’s who of the industry.
