Cost-effective steel structures will give an edge to infrastructure projects
.

India is a growing economy, and so is the infrastructure sector. If we look at the steel demand, in particular, Steel demand is increasing across the global industries, especially in construction and infrastructure development. “Moreover, with high construction rates of houses, shops and godowns in the cities and towns, construction and infrastructure rates in villages and other rural areas are comparatively lower. This further implies a potential demand for steel in the construction and infrastructure segments, including PEB roofing”, says Ashok Kumar Bajoria, Managing Director, Ganesh Foundry and casting Limited.

Cost-effectiveness
Being cost-effective is key to growth in every industry. Our organisation’s primary focus is to produce more with less input cost. Apart from that, we have also been using electric devices to help lower consumption per capita. In addition, we have been using quality equipment for trenching the rods that help us produce good quality products using less energy and expense. So, by ethically selling to the consumer at low prices, we are the only producers with no competitors, which is extremely beneficial to North Bihar customers; this is how we manage cost-effectiveness.

The need for self-reliance in the steel industry
We are putting more emphasis on indigenisation. India is almost self-sufficient in the steel industry and is now exporting to China. We have recently witnessed high duties imposed on imports and exports. As a result, we are experiencing a shortage of local raw materials. Suppose such a high export duty is only applied to steel used for industrial or commercial purposes and not to steel used for making houses or constructing multi-story buildings related to residential construction. Currently, steel production in India is increasing rapidly, resulting in unsorted fragments in India.

We are currently focusing on TMT bars ranging in thickness from 8mm to 35mm. We also manufacture products for residential use, such as household grills and others. As a result, our primary focus is on producing residential-based products. These TMT bars are used in the construction of two-story houses.
