Adding about the working of the procurement department, Landekar says, “The procurement department works as most important player who adds value by their individual small steps to ensure that the final product is delivered in time at optimal cost.”
Landekar also spoke about the credit and the payment. Currently, as per the norms set by the company, the customer needs to pay from the time of placing order until dispatch. “In certain special cases we operate on limited number days credit L/C. The important part to decide the credit terms is the type of cutting project and its capital intensity,” he concluded.
