Product range
First Indigenous proximity switch was developed by Jayashree Electron Pvt. Ltd. in year 1980. Since then wide range of proximity switches of inductive, capacitive, optical, magnetic and ultrasonic type have been developed. It has more than 800 models for above basic types. Development of products is a continuous process at Jayashree. Products are upgraded to latest technology every year. Production process and manufacturing equipment is of latest types.

The company has five basic products lines: soft starter, electronic speed switches, proximity switches, level monitors and sequence timers. Also it has 10-12 different sub product lines as extension of basic products. All the products are useful in automation and safety of machines used in steel, cement, textile, irrigation, power generation and all engineering industry.

Soft starters
Jayashree had introduced Soft Starter (reduce voltage starting) technology to India in year 1978. These are reduce voltage fixed frequency type starters which help to start a motor at low current without any jerks and gradually increasing speed to full value. A team of R&D engineers at Jayashree works under guidance of experts in this field for designing of soft starter. Jayashree offers correct and complete solution for starting an induction motor. It has soft starters of all types (series impedance, electronic and liquid resistance) suitable for motor rating up to 35 MW / 13.5 KV. Thousands of its soft starters are in operation in India and abroad. The soft starters are widely used and are essential for some of the applications like pumps for water supply and lift schemes, compressors, crushers, fans etc. in textile, steel, cement and water supply schemes.

Its soft starters and other products are periodically tested and approved by government recognised test houses. Since some of the starters are custom built, special software is used to design products to meet individual requirement.

Besides the basic perfect design, all the soft starters are continuously upgraded to adopt latest technology. Jayashree HFSR Series Reactor type soft starters are the only one available in India with HMI and PLC control.

Infrastructure to meet increasing demand
Jayashree, at present, has 3,000 sq.mtr. manufacturing facilities. With increased FSI from government the buildings are being reconstructed to generate facility of 5,000 sq.mtr. The buildings and other infrastructure is more than adequate to double the existing production capacity. Thus the company feels that it is having enough infrastructure to meet increasing market demand.

Competition and network
“We have to compete with MNC at many times. However, we have definitely succeeded in building a brand name in the market due to our presence over last 35 years,” says Mr Dabke. “With new government policy of ‘Make in India’, we are sure for good days ahead and we would like to take further the challenges as make in India and sale to Globe.”

The company has good vendor network for key component supply. The components are procured and manufactured strictly as per its design. The quality of components is monitored by experienced and trained personnel. The perfect planning and control of vendors help it to supply a quality product in stipulated time.
