Growing industry
Talking about the current trends in procurement of doors and windows, Shivendra says, “From a seller’s market it has become a buyer’s market as there are so many options in the market. Lack of knowledge
A buyer should have knowledge of relevant standards for purchasing uPVC doors and windows. However, sharing his views on major buying factors a buyer should consider before making a decision of procuring doors and windows, Shivendra said, “Unfortunately right now in India, there is no regulatory body or, rating agency to check quality of doors and windows in India. One can keep EN (European standards) or GB/T (Chinese standards) as reference or measuring parameter.”

Speaking on the major innovations happening in the area of doors and windows, Shivendra reveals, “Besides basic functions like aesthetic appealing, doors and windows with noise insulation and energy saving properties are available in India. With global doors and windows manufacturers planning to set base in India, it will help to increase the customer base in India as well as help to create awareness among end customer.”

He also claims that VEKA is the first company in India to offer low frame in openable and sliding doors for barrier-free living.
