Kindly brief us about The Supreme Industries and its key offerings.

The Supreme Industries is an eighty-year-old company that was founded in 1942. We work in a variety of sectors, including PVC pipes, furniture, MHD divisions, silpaulin, LPG cylinder, Engineering Plastic moulding, and speciality Films and Protective Packaging Division (PPD). PPD is further classified into three verticals: packaging, insulation, and civil products.

Why are insulation products essential for roofing? 

Insulation applications are essential especially during the summer, as it helps to reduce heat induction through roofing. Even the construction preferences are changing, as the industry is shifting from conventional building constructions to preengineered buildings, as it require less time, is easy to install, assemble and maintain. Such constructions demand quality roofing, where insulation becomes a mandate. Furthermore, supreme insulation ensures substantial reduction in heat load. Conventional insulation methods were in place for RCC roofing with applications of EPS blocks, PUF blocks & Glass wool for under deck insulation which is now substituted by our INSU solution because of clear advantage of long life, excellent performance and quick installation.

There are also Rockwool and Glass wool available for insulation, although, they have sagging issues and health hazardous being fiverous in nature. To address this we have introduced INSUshield and INSUreflector high performance insulation products.

What are your offerings for the roofing segment?

Supreme has introduced range of products like INSUshield (XLPE) and INSUreflector (Air Bubble Insulation)

Air Bubble Insulation: This is FR air bubble film laminated with both side aluminium foil which works on reflective insulation principal that helps in blocking the heat there by reducing the heat load in all PEB building. INSUshield solution can also be offered with various user friendly variant such as shiplap and staple flang joint, either it would be single side or both side laminated with Alu foil.  

How do you evaluate the need for insulation in commercial and public spaces vs. residential purposes? 

The need of insulation in buildings and roofs has been more widely recognised. Assume an automotive work shop- technician is working in a building in a confined occupancy of 10 by 10 square feet, where heat induction is high and temperatures rise from 43 to 47 degrees Celsius. For heat reduction using INSUReflector and INSUSheild foil on the roof under deck with Air gap can assist in reducing the heat radiation and providing a comfortable atmosphere in the workshop. 

When it comes to raising insulation knowledge among home consumers, I believe our INSUshield range will provide a good alternative in underdeck applications which will improve the comfort. We have many success stories for this and nowadays our customers are spreading the recommendation for these products.

How do you address the fire safety concerns through insulation?

 Supreme does not cut corners when it comes to safety and quality. All materials in INSU range are manufactured to meet or exceed the specified National and international standards.
