Scaffolding is evolving in terms of set-up time. Previously, H-frame type scaffolding was used widely which was difficult to set-up and pieces were bulky. Now, cup-lock scaffolding is used which has elemental pieces and form a grid like rigid support structure in no time.

“Cup-lock scaffolding is the most advanced and widely used solution,” Mr Agarwal observed. “It consists of elemental pieces which are easy to carry. The scaffolding support structure is up and ready
to use in no time because of its simplicity to install. Also, there is no technical expertise required to install such system.”

Mr Agarwal considers buying of scaffolding as a preferred option compared to renting. He justified his statement by saying, “Calculations show that buying the steel scaffolding will pay off in 24 months as compared to renting. Also, after the useful life of scaffolding, we will still have the steel which will have some scrap value. Hence, it is beneficial to buy.”
