MEVA EcoFix – the versatile formwork system for walls and columns
The ever-faster completion of construction projects in the face of manpower shortage is a challenge that every construction manager has to deal with. Modern construction methods are therefore the rule rather than the exception in today’s world, and this trend has also affected the use of formwork systems.
MEVA is a pioneer and trendsetter for the entire formwork industry. The world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, was built with slab formwork from MEVA. MEVA was founded in February 1970 in the Black Forest near Stuttgart and can look back on 50 years of experience in developing and supplying formwork systems for some of the most significant projects in the world. For the Indian market, MEVA has been working with great passion since 2009 to make formwork safer, more efficient and easier for users. In India, MEVA offers an integrated formwork system for projects with fully engineered and compatible components. The company is focused on providing users with formwork systems that are superior in terms of reducing cycle time, increasing cost efficiency and reusability. MEVA also has the first installation of an automatic climbing formwork system in India to its credit.
EcoFix: Multi-purpose elements and an excellent price-performance ratio
Customers in India are looking for formwork systems that reduce time, provide a good concrete finish, are lightweight and easy to use, reduce labour costs and allow projects to be completed on time and within budget. The answer to these market needs is now found in the new EcoFix system.
With its multi-purpose elements and excellent price-performance ratio, the EcoFix is the ideal solution for wall and column formwork in a wide variety of structures – and all without the need for a crane.
Thanks to its 100 percent multipurpose elements, most column and wall sizes can be constructed with a minimal number of parts making the EcoFix truly a modular system.
The EcoFix is lightweight, hence labour friendly and offers both birch plywood as well as the all-plastic alkus as-facing options to deliver a consistently superior concrete finish.
EcoFix is ideal for
- Residential schemes
- Commercial projects
- Infrastructure and civil engineering projects
Tie holes at 50 mm intervals to ensure a precise adjustment of column dimensions. This makes the system flexible for usage across columns and walls. The vertical profile with built-in plug-in nuts is positioned to allow the easy fixing of walkway brackets and vertical alignment rails.
EcoFix is also equipped with multiple options for core wall construction, using panels of different sizes, as well as plywood stop, and ends. A special 60 cm width panel has been designed to be used as a stop end panel for 23 cm wide walls, unique to residential projects in India. This panel can also be used to cast 20 cm, 25 cm and 30 cm wide walls.
Columns can be constructed with or without the use of tie rods, depending upon site requirements. Column construction without tie rods is accomplished with the use of a unique windmill rail and a WMR connector which enables columns up to 1.25 m by 1.25 m to be cast without tie rods.
MEVA continues its journey of innovation with the unique internal corner clamp, exclusively developed for the EcoFix.
- It eliminates the need for separate internal corner panels
- Reduces the need for accessories and additional inventory items
- Results in time and cost savings
MEVA has designed and developed several accessories as part of the EcoFix to make life simple at the construction site
- Alignment Rail Connector allows for a labour-friendly fixture and removal of alignment rails
- Push Pull Prop Connector for perfect alignment of the panels
- Tension Screw to form external corners
- Shoe Plate 23 for easy and safe bottom anchoring of the panel
MEVA offers customers in India a comprehensive product portfolio covering all formwork requirements from infrastructure projects to high-rises, from handset formwork to automatic climbing technology.
