What are the products and technologies you are planning to display at Excon?
Columbia is displaying a prototype of a New Concrete Block Machinery Model SPM20+. This machine is a further advanced version of the SPM20 to cover a wider range of products produced on these machines by our esteemed customers. This machine has the same pallet size as SPM20, 508X508X6mm and can manufacture products from 25mm to 250mm in height, like tiles, pavers, bricks, blocks, and kerbstones. We have developed this model to enable our customers to meet the versatility of product requirements of their end users. SPM20+ is designed as per Columbia’s patented technology, CVT, which combines over 80 years of innovative engineering and field-proven designs with industry leading manufacturing capabilities. CVT enables producers to create the highest quality and widest range of concrete products in the world.
What are the key features of your products and solutions that make them smarter and greener?
Columbia Machines work on the principals of Vertical Mold Vibration Technology resulting in the production of concrete products with dimensional accuracy, uniform density, higher strength, low water absorption, and abrasion resistance. These are key factors in manufacturing high strength pavers. In addition to these, Columbia is the first choice of contractors, sub-contractors, and soil stabilising companies to produce Retaining Wall Blocks. This is due to the high accuracy that can be achieved only on Columbia Concrete Block Machinery.
India is generating more than 2 L MW of electricity in thermal power plants. This results in the generation of billions of tonnes of flyash, which is hazardous to health and, in turn, will need a large amount of land for ash dispersal. Columbia’s technology to produce high-strength flyash bricks is helping the thermal power plants and brick producers consume flyash and produce green and eco friendly products.
Please share what makes your concrete products and solutions the most preferred in construction projects.
We at Columbia, a part of Columbia Machine Inc., USA, are committed to manufacturing the best quality construction equipment that contributes to building India and fulfils the dreams of many young entrepreneurs, contractors, and developers. We have designed and developed a Core Puller Assembly for our existing range of Concrete Block Machinery for manufacturing Cored Retaining Wall Blocks, cored bricks which have minute cores in the elevation. These RE blocks have been supplied to a leading contractor by one of our prestigious customers for the construction of a flyover in Mumbai. The approach to this flyover, constructed with this block of intricate design, is an engineering marvel.
Tell us about the most recent technologies and solutions you’ve implemented. How is your organisation responding to the changing project requirements?
Striving for continuous innovation, Columbia Machine introduces the industry-leading Concrete Machinery Model SPM20+. Columbia’s SPM20+ is packed with features, allowing our customers to improve their product offering through the inclusion of the unique functions that allow handling a large range of products with varying thicknesses, like tiles of 25-30mm, pavers of 40-50mm, and bricks and blocks up to 250 mm thick.
