The average grade of concrete which is being currently used in the market is much higher than it was a few years ago. How cost-effective is RMC and its durability for construction?
Concrete Industry has gone through a tremendous transformation from being hand mixed at the site to today’s fully automatic state of the art batching plants and dispatch fleet.  The same can be said about the concrete mixes also. After the introduction of RMC, construction has become faster and reduced the number of labourers required for concreting purpose. The average grade of concrete which is being currently used in the market is much higher than it was a few years ago.  Earlier, the construction used to happen using M20 grade or M25 grade of concrete but now the industry is moving towards M30 to M60 grade of concrete.

There are many builders and contractors, who are using M100 and M90 grade of concrete, such higher grade concrete helps builders in using less quantity of construction material due to reduced sizes of columns and beams. They also get more clear space between columns due to longer spans and lesser size of the columns, which is a dream for architects and builders due to unobstructed space and design value increase. Also, the demand of application based concrete and durability criteria is on the rise. We had recognized these trends beforehand and started our development thus now we have a range of products and services. 

Could you shed some light on your latest RMC solutions that you are manufacturing and supplying?RDC Concrete has a proven reputation for delivering cost-effective and innovative building solutions to meet a plethora of requirements. We offer a wide range of products and custom designed solutions based on the requirement at hand. Let’s say you need a product which is energy efficient, sustainable with eco-friendly features. For such cases we recommend Greencrete concrete of various grades up to M60 with lesser embodied energy, it contains additional eco-friendly materials. Duracrete is another product we are offering. It lasts long, and owing to its durable properties it offers a much lower life cycle cost than normal concrete. We also offer Crackfree concrete which makes it impossible for water to penetrate and thereby reinforcement is well protected from possible corrosion causing external factors. 

For paving walkways, Naturecrete is the solution we offer. Naturecrete allows water to percolate the ground and increase the water table, instead of getting drained away. This is quite helpful as the decreasing water table is one of serious concerns in the cities due to increasing population and extracting water from bore wells in housing societies. One can also use RDC Concrete’s dry and wet concrete bags to address the small repair work requirements. These bags will satisfy the need of quality concrete for smaller applications in areas, where it is difficult to carry normal concrete.

For multi-storey buildings, we have specially designed Selfcrete. It is an apt product meant for congested columns including the ones with aluminium formwork. Selfcrete offers high flowability, it has an ability to fill complicated structural members where congestion of reinforcement is high; it also speeds up the pouring rate and thereby saves time. Heat resistant crete helps in lowering the heat transfer from roof top to the interiors of the building thereby decreasing the need for artificial cooling and saving energy cost. Our other product Tempcrete is designed to reduce the core temperature of raft foundations.

Supercrete yet another product we have designed to achieve high compressive strengths up to M100, Likewise Fastrack crete is used to achieve high strength in matter of hours, Fibrecrete with new generation poly propylene fibre or with steel fibre, Impecrete to give aesthetic look to structures and many other products like Super express crete, Procrete, Toughcrete, Passive crete, Corrod eresist crete, Heat resistant crete, Waterproof crete, Green crete, Nature crete, Litecrete etc.  All our products are eco-friendly and can aid in the sustainable development of the nation.
