Tekla India announces BIM Awards 2015

Tekla India recognised the professionals and students in India by announcing prestigious BIM Awards 2015.
The winner of the annual Tekla Award 2015 has been revealed after a panel of construction industry experts judged the finalists’ entries. The awards for best use of BIM Building Information Modeling (BIM) were given in six categories which included Commercial, Public Projects, Industrial, Infrastructure, Small Projects, Student and The People’s Choice.
The Tekla BIM Awards focus on projects of all shapes and sizes, which have used Tekla software as part of the process for designing and modelling structures, or where the use of Tekla software has aided collaboration.
The best BIM projects in India have been chosen. The winners of the Tekla Global BIM Awards from continents showcase not only extremely skillful modeling, but also great collaboration and innovative construction.
Nirmalya Chatterjee, Executive Director & COO at Trimble Buildings (SAARC), comments, “Once again, Tekla 3D model competition has yielded some fabulous projects where the use of 3D modelling software has revolutionised the design, planning and delivery of projects. The awards are also a great way for our customers to get their fabulous work noticed and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to submit an entry.”
The jury consisted of Prof. Nallayarasu S, Professor, Ocean Engineering, IIT Madras, Rajan Srivastava, Dy. General Manager (Civil Structural Engg Dept.) Engineers India Limited and Michael Evans, Director-Education & Key Accounts, Tekla Inc.
