The Indian cement industry has significantly reduced emissions over the past few decades and has become one of the most energy-efficient industries in the world. India is the world’s second-largest cement and steel producer; these sectors account for 8 and 12 percent, respectively, of all national emissions. India is currently the world’s third-largestCO2 producer, and its emissions are expected to have increased by 50percent by 2040.

We are committed to accelerating the decarburisation of India’s construction sector by enabling increased use of low-carbon cement. Kaneda Cement Limited, the fastest-growing cement manufacturer in Central and North India, is dedicated to producing environmentally friendly and sustainable cement. The most significant steps in our cement manufacturing facilities are listed below.

Reduction in carbon emissions:

(Pozzolana Portland cement) Our plantproduces100percent PPC products. As a result, the clinker is replaced with a thermal power waste product, fly ASH. It is observed that PPC’s energy use and CO2emissions are at least 20 percent less compared to OPC cement.

Low SPC (specific Power Consumption) for the clinker grinder:

Our plant consumes less power for clinker grinding than the industry average.

Use of Renewable Energy:

Our company is installing solar power units near the grinding facilities, thereby reducing dependence on fossil fuels such as gas and oil.

Use of waste Products:

Our plants use waste products generated by other industries, reducing the environmental pollution. Thermal power plants are generating fly ash as a water product. The disposal of fly ash is a huge issue. Our plants use up to 35percent fly ash in their final product.

PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement ):

Chemical gypsum is water generated by chemical industries. Our plants use chemical gypsum as a raw material increment manufacturing.

Sustainability and growth:

By using limestone or industrial wastes like flash and slag as the raw material for cement manufacture, we also hope to increase decarbonisation. Water Consumption:

Water Used in Our plants are recycled after treatment for other uses. We are following the “zero discharge policy. Rainwater is being stored by rain harvesting technology. We are committed to Net Zero by 2050.
