How come your innovation will help mines control dust pollution and save fuel cost? 

Mines and plants have to follow many practises to suppress dust. Water sprinkling in Haul Roads and Mist Cannons on stock pile areas are two major activities. Mines use an N-number of vehicles for road sprinkling.

We have developed (AMUV’s) that consist of major three features on a single vehicle, like Rear Road Sprinklers (minimum 12 metre width), Mist Cannons (30-60 metre length) and Inbuilt Fire Fight Headers (25-60 meter) for fire suppression. These will be used in the coal mines where fire suppression is a day-to-day activity.

Your claims for diesel saving looks fantastic, can your elaborate? 

Our innovative patented technology enables you to save diesel cost rs. (symbol) by 2 lakh per month, per vehicle. 

We have been manufacturing “Automeck Multi Utility Vehicles” for the last three years. As previously stated, we have combined major features into a single vehicle and eliminated the use of diesel generators for power generation. We do extract power from the vehicle itself. So, directly, we are saving diesel costs in the running of DG’s. Its minimum is 6 litres per hour.

And previously, companies used to buy separate vehicles for road sprinkling, firefighting, and mist cannons. So, our innovation saves the investment in three separate truck chassis.

Who are your existing customers for this product? 

Initially, three years back, we started supplying the major mining contractors as a trial product. But now major mining companies like Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Jindal Power, Tata Metaliks, etc. have bought our products either directly or through their contractors. Large PSU’s like BCCL and SAIL are now evaluating this technology of ours and will very soon incorporate it into their requirement list.

How must total quantity of diesel in total it will save in the Industry? 

Crores of liters of diesel. The saving is directly to our customers and indirectly it will help our Country economy as 80 percent of crude we import.

As every Mines / Plants / Road Projects require Mist Cannons and Indian mining and infrastructure is growing fantastic day by day and the requirement of such pollution control vehicle is increasing minimum by 200-300 percent per annum. 

Please tell us about your other products which are useful for mining? 

Another Product is “Hydroseeder”. The machine is very useful in creating large vegetation in minings and road projects. We are the only Indian manufacturer of this product. 

The Hydroseeder is also useful in stabilising loose slag and large stock pit areas. It will convert loose particles into stable platform.

What is AUTOMECK’s future plan? 

Our Sales Growth in the FY 21-22 was 27.52 percent and we are seeing a very positive growth and we are trying for a min 60 percent growth in FY 22 -23. We are also focusing on exports markets.

With the increasing adoption of digitalisation in the mining sector, how do you plan to implement the same in your processes and at your facility? 

At “Automeck”, we have already integrated digitalisation in our manufacturing processes and are intending to build a central platform to access and remotely monitor the work and activities that have will make operation more reliable and maximum Control.
