Scaffolding such as the Allround and SpeedyScaf offer unrivalled adaptability and may be utilised across various onsite requirements.

For more than 75 years, the Layher Group has produced high-quality scaffolding systems in Germany. Layher has a worldwide presence with more than 45 sales subsidiaries. The products are being used by industries like construction, chemical plants, power plants, shipyards, refineries, and offshore. Innovative products, superior technical solutions, and exclusive customer oriented service package, Layher scaffolding has become the standard in scaffolding systems worldwide.

More possibilities with Layher products and services

Layher’s present product characteristics and services help customers achieve long-term success and increase the profitability of their companies. Layher Scaffolding has been established as a synonym for modular scaffolds on the market. The Allround and SpeedyScaf scaffolding offer unsurpassed versatility, and can be used at construction sites, chemical industry, power plants, aircraft, shipyards, the event sector, theatres, among the others.

Layher scaffolding uses a simple, unique, bolt-free connection technology. Sliding the wedge head over the rosette and inserting the wedge into the opening immediately secures the component. There is still sufficient play to secure the other end of the ledger. A hammer blow to the wedge transforms the loose connection into a superbly strong, structurally rigid one. The face of the wedge head is now precisely positioned against the standard.

To transfer pulling force, every frame is secured by locking pins or bolts to each other. In this way, the tower can be assembled on the ground and placed by crane. The scaffolding put up around the new office/business/apartment complex using SpeedyScaf equipment from Layher was “roundly” praised.

Layher scaffolding is used in high-rise buildings

The construction of façade scaffolding about 90 metres high is the big challenge of this project (the construction of residential buildings) into the sky. The skyscraper also lives up to its name. The corner and the projected balcony of the building are the challenges of this project. During the construction, the biggest challenge was posed by the recessed balconies on every second side of the building. Providing scaffolding around these drew on all the experience of the scaffolding erectors and the flexibility of systems. But this problem was quickly overcome with special structures. Attach the necessary anchoring continually as the scaffolding assembly progresses.

Before starting construction of scaffolding, you need to confirm the surface load-bearing capacity and layout a suitable load distributing base. These bases must extend over both uprights. When positioning, stay within the maximum clearance from the wall, otherwise there is a risk of falling. It is sometimes difficult to follow the design due to site conditions. Stiffen the scaffolding with vertical diagonal braces.

By bracing the scaffolding work vertically with SpeedyScaf lattice beams, even the increased wind loads could be transferred without putting unnecessary strain on the structure.

Layher Allround Lightweight scaffolding system the challenge to provide access for this 21-storey new-build apartment Building.

With Layher SpeedyScaf Systems, the scaffolder had the ideal equipment for the economical provision of scaffolding around the facade at 90 metres. Easy assembly and the use of a hoist meant that the assembly time was just five weeks. Thanks to the outstanding quality of Layher’s products, the lower assembly frames and the spindles can withstand enormous loads. The load-bearing capacity of individual spindles (baseplate) is subjected to a weight of up to 5 tons.

Especially on irregular designs due to different sizes of corners, the Allround/Speedyscaf scaffolding impresses with its flexibility and easy handling. With its advantages like screw-less quick and self-explanatory assembly, formfitting and solid connection, dimensional stability and rigidity, scaffolders quickly create safe workspaces for the following assembly sections, even at the highest altitudes and under high loads. After all, heavy stones have to e stored temporarily on the scaffold during construction or renovation.

Layher was the leading scaffolding company on the market right up to today. Its extensive range of parts makes even round scaffolding quick to build. To do so, the scaffolding experts chose short bay lengths to comply with the permitted wall clearances, individually positioning every bay at the appropriate angle and connecting it to a coupler on the inner standard. This allowed even structures with widely varying radii to be enclosed with scaffolding.

Layher Scaffolding Systems has a suitable solution for all access needs on construction sites. Access: Landing type stairway towers (external access/robust access deck with ladder (internal access) for a broad spectrum of applications and requirements are created at the site for the hoisting of concrete buckets, passenger hoists, and to accommodate and safe Accesses that always fit and match the system can be built [(as a replacement for traditional scaffolding)]; with allround scaffold systems, massive amounts of scaffolding pipes and clamps can be used.

The load classes that regulate the live load and dead load (theoretical load) on scaffolding must match the type of work to be performed. All live load effects must be considered in the design separately, and effects must be superimposed.

Layher Scaffolding’s system-based advantages have proven to be the more cost-effective solution in all fields of scaffolding use (industrial construction, power station, shipbuilding, facade work, construction sites, stair towers, suspended scaffolding structures, aircraft maintenance, substructures for podiums and stands, theatre scenery and trade fair construction, as well as strong shoring and support structures).

Layher Scaffolding a Free-Standing Curved Solution: An interesting challenge with this project: provide a freestanding, full scaffolding wrap to a height of 18m around a building with a curved face – no ties permitted. The rosette on their Layher Allround scaffolding system was designed to cater for curved structures, and the strength of their Layher Allround braces allowed for 6.5m between buttresses.
