At Excon, MB Crusher exhibited attachments from five different product categories including a crusher, dry material screening machine, shaft screening machine for organic materials, grapples, and drum cutters. ” “We introduced two new models under the drum cutter at CII Excon 2021. They are smaller units for excavators in the 10 to 14 class. Trenching, head cutting, and tunnelling are all common uses for these devices, “adds Dr. Piero Guizzetti, CEO, MB Crusher India Pvt. Ltd.
Drum cutters and their features
The drum cutter is a unique technology with a twin-motor facility. It also has a priority valve in the centre with smart systems. If you observe, most of our competitors have a single motor in the product range. This product’s smartness identifies the areas of high resistance and allows the priority valves to direct flow from that side. Further, it maintains a fairly consistent flow and output, with minimal stress on the machine and the operator.
Upgrading existing machines
Our stocks are all upgraded with this most delinquent technology. BF90.3 Bucket Crusher is one of our best-selling products, specially designed for 21-tonne classes. Ongoingly evaluating the feedback from the Indian market, we have made some improvements to these products. It includes managing the vibration of the machine. It’s a substantial piece of machinery. The operator is responsible for working eight to ten hours per day. It is strenuous work because you are smashing 300 mm of rock. We have optimised the machine’s weight distribution to ensure it’s balanced enough to prevent vibrations on the boom. With this, we provide that the machine is stress-free. Our productivity is inextricably linked to the performance of the operators. We’re happy to report that, starting in the second half of 2021, our customers have enthusiastically embraced these new enhancements.
Our devices do not consume any additional fuel. So a 21-tonne digger will consume 14 to 15 litres of diesel per hour. Our equipment is functional with the same fuel consumption. As a result, the fuel economy of your excavators is comparable to that of any other similar activity.
Road projects in India
The most important market in India today is road projects. The government’s endeavour to connect more rural areas of the country with highways is a beautiful initiative. We have intense penetration in this segment. A significant customer that requires more than 200 TPH of crushers is here. It is a solution that allows you to move materials. Hence it is the appropriate solution for a 5–20 KM section of road-making at a go.
Live demo of the bucket crushers always helps to sell better.
For us, the launching pad was two years ago when we did our first live demo in India. When we started in 2014, this was an entirely new concept, the first two years were really about educating the market about what a bucket crusher is, and then we spent the next two years building brand equity and brand awareness. In 2017, after consulting our customers and enhancing technology, we crushed a 300-mm blue granite into 20 mm. We sold more in the four days in the following 11 months. So, it was an eye-opener for everybody. And hopefully, in the next Excon edition, we will demonstrate three such machines by extending them to the drum cutter and the screening machine.
Latest technology edge
We will undoubtedly succeed because our products are mobile in any environment, including the most remote locations, rough terrain, and mountainous terrain. We are developing the capability to remotely understand the total operational hours of the machines, their components, and the possible issues they may have in-service maintenance and enhance them. This can be done by installing intelligent system sensors that we are developing. These sensors identify any machine faults and suggest required replacements.
In some circumstances, our clients need a solution that can accept stones or boulders up to 500mm in diameter, while our bucket’s current mouth opening is 540mm. We usually recommend 60 percent of the mouth opening height due to the hardness of the rock. Anything between 300 and 350 is now possible on our 21-tonne class excavators, which are compatible with BF 90.3. In India, such a weight range currently accounts for 80 percent of the market. We’re trying to figure out if we can expand the mouth a little wider without hurting the machine’s quality, longevity, and consumables.
