In an interview with B2B Purchase, V Senthilkumar, Managing Director of Propel Industries Limited, discussed the highlighting features of their electric dump truck, designed for tough terrain.

How will the infrastructure push in developing countries affect the crushing and screening industry?
The increase in demand for crushing and screening equipment in developing countries due to the infrastructure push will require an increase in supply, which will be met by ramping up production and incorporating innovative technology to improve productivity and efficiency.

What innovations have you introduced to improve your company’s ability to serve the crushing and screening market?
Propel Industries Limited is committed to constantly improving and innovating as a company specialising in crushing and screening equipment. One of their latest additions is the incorporation of IoT, which has led to increased productivity, efficiency, and safety. They have also developed India’s first motorised pulley for heavyduty belt conveyor applications, which can save up to 20 percent energy compared to a standard stage 2 crushing and screening plant.

In addition to these innovations, Propel Industries Limited also showcased their electric dump truck at the Excon in 2022, offering customers a first-hand experience of the unique machine. The truck was specifically designed for tough terrains found in Indian mines and has a haulage capacity of 45 tonnes. The company has tested and ensured that the truck is sustainable, energy-efficient, and provides maximum uptime, low ownership cost, and excellent driving comfort.
