During a ceremony held recently, company officials laid the foundation bricks for the new plant.

The establishment of this plant is part of Timken’s strategic investments aimed at expanding its global manufacturing footprint. Timothy A. Graham, Vice President of Operations for Engineered Bearings, highlighted the significance of the Bharuch site, stating, “India is an important market for us, and we are committed to investing here to support our customers’ growth and evolving needs.”

The new facility will focus on the production of spherical and cylindrical roller bearings, complementing the existing manufacturing capabilities for tapered roller bearings at Timken’s Bharuch plants. This expansion represents a crucial milestone in Timken’s ongoing growth in India. Sanjay Koul, President of India and Southeast Asia, and Managing Director of India emphasized the benefits of the expansion, stating, “Adding cylindrical and spherical roller bearings to our existing capabilities in Bharuch will bring us closer to our customers while boosting our speed to market.”
