Ravin Group has supplied over 3000 kilometres of specialised fire survival and electric cables, valued at over ₹ 300 crores, for Metro Line 3 and other ongoing metro projects in Mumbai, Pune, and J&K.
Ravin Group is happy to be an associate and partner with J Kumar and Mumbai Metro to help ensure the safety and reliability of Mumbai’s first underground Metro 3 (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ) or Aqua Line project.
On Saturday, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the first section of this historic underground route, marking a momentous moment. Congratulations to the Maharashtra government, Mumbai Metro, and all of the agencies and individuals who worked tirelessly to overcome all of the problems and hurdles necessary to begin operations on this line.
Securing lives and property from fire threats is critical in subterranean metros, enclosed areas, and high-rise structures, among other places. Ravin’s Ignamo Fire survival cables are designed to endure the most intense fires for 120 minutes or more without losing circuit integrity, while also emitting no smoke or hazardous chemicals when burned. They are designed, manufactured, and tested to the highest safety and performance requirements before being installed under expert supervision.
J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd, in collaboration with Ravin, was instrumental in Mumbai’s urban transformation through Metro Line 3. Once operating, the Metro 3 Aqua Line will provide continuous connectivity, ensuring commuters’ safety and efficiency. Ravin Group is devoted to Mumbai’s progress and is eager to contribute to creative electrical solutions as the city enters the new transport era.
This accomplishment demonstrates India’s technological and engineering capabilities, and we are honoured to be a part of this transformative leap in the city’s transportation sector, where quality, safety, and dependability are non-negotiable.
For a long time, speciality fire survival products were not manufactured in India, but Ravin overcame these obstacles to begin full production in Maharashtra, ensuring safety and reliability not only through supply but also through supervision of the installation of specialised fire survival and other cables for the underground stretch from SEEPZ to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Phase I, and then up to Colaba in Phase II.
Ravin Group has played an important role in the implementation of many Extra High Voltage Projects in Mumbai, contributing more than 1800 MW of additional energy supply through its competence in EHV EPC projects.
With over 73 years of cable manufacturing experience, Ravin Group is a market leader in offering world-class cable solutions. The company has partnered on critical infrastructure projects globally, including the Jammu Baramulla Rail Corridor, of which the Chenab River Railway Bridge is an engineering marvel, various metros in India like Pune Metro, Hyderabad Metro, Chennai Metro, Nagpur Metro, etc., various airports like Delhi, Mumbai, and now the new Panvel Airport, the entire Jio Complex including Jio World Centre at BKC, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, Doha Metro Rail, almost all major solar projects,
