AM CON 2015 unleashed new concepts in concrete technology

 AM CON 2015, the all India seminar on new developments in use of alternative materials for concrete, was held on 13th and 14th March at Chitnavis Centre, Nagpur. The seminar was organised by Indian Concrete Institute, Nagpur Centre, Nagpur.

The theme of the seminar was to create the awareness amongst the construction engineers about the modern concrete construction practices, methodology to disseminate information about the new concepts in concrete technology.

KC Tayade, Vice President (West), Indian Concrete Institute delivered the welcome address. The seminar was inaugurated by an eminent management Guru Acharya Ajit. He addressed the delegates to focus on R&D to bring out alternative fine aggregates (sand) and course aggregates to bring ‘green revolution’ and save the Earth.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Shubhajit Saraswati, National President of Indian Concrete Institute. The exhibitors were from renowned and multinational companies like manufacturers of construction chemicals, cement, bricks, sand and construction equipment. 

About 500 delegates had attended this 2-day seminar which prominently includes the presence of upper and mid-management level dignitaries from government and private organisations.

“Total of about 40 technical papers were presented by a very renowned and highly qualified speakers came from different parts of the country during two days session that includes about 25 key note papers,” informed Vivek Naik, Principal Convener, AMCON 2015.
