In an interview with B2B Purchase, Samit Patil, Managing Director, Oxygreen Construction talks about the industry and the procurement practices.

Range of products for scaffolding industry
Speaking about the range of products that are offered by Oxygreen Construction, Patil says, “Our Product is called GETO Aluminium Formwork System. GETO is a national high-tech enterprise which specialised in aluminium formwork headquartered in Shanghai, China with services including aluminium formwork R&D, design, production, sale, leasing, subcontract, installation, renovation, refurbishment and logistics solution.”

Demand in Industry
The products of Oxygreen are designed to benefit the workers in all ways. Samit Patil says, “The people in the industry are concerned about quality and workers, since our quality is the best and our product design is worker friendly.” Worker or end user friendly devices and products get a high preference. That is considered crucial at Oxygreen Constructions.

Innovations taking place in scaffolding
When asked about the innovations that are taking place in the area of scaffolding, Patil is very positive. “There many newer technologies coming in this sector and we appreciate such move which in turn will help the construction industry at large. Even our R&D department is continuously working for enhancing newer designs and other technologies,” he says.

Procurement Practices
Procurement practices are one area that can add a lot of value to the final product. Samit Patil also agrees to this. The Quality Control department at Qxygreen Construction has particular quality norms. The tightly followed system add a great value to our final product since, below the system no material can be procured also mostly our 90 per cent  production of everything including accessories is in-house and hence the procurement process as such is quality based.

Payment Concerns
Payment is a major concern for the buyer and any client. When asked about the payment methods, Patil says that as Oxygreen works on the international terms, there is not credit procedure. “We don’t have any credit procedure since our supply is from the factory and hence full advance or letter of credit at site facility only,” he adds.

Obstacle Race
Hurdles and obstacles are very common for any industry. There are times when some or the other problems pop up when one does not anticipate them. Obstacles are a major issue in the construction industry. When asked about crossing the hurdles, Patil, who has almost 30 years in the industry is confident that they can bear the pressure. “Even in the breakdown period we have executed two projects in Mumbai,” Patil proudly signs off.
