The two companies would be delivering STAAD.building, a software integration facilitating, which will enable users to meet the demanding standards of the Indian market
Bentley Systems, a software solutions provider for infrastructure, announced partnership with Mumbai-based S-Cube Futuretech Pvt. Ltd., a software products developer for concrete structural engineering in India.
The two companies will be delivering STAAD.building, a software integration facilitating B/IM for concrete building design workflows that will enable users to meet the demanding standards of the Indian market. “B/IM” signifies Bentley’s advancement of the reach and benefits of BIM – for better-performing assets through increased depth of information modelling, and better-performing projects through increased breadth of information mobility.
STAAD.building combines STAAD.Pro’s analytical engine with S-Cube’s STAAD RCDC and STAAD Planwin purpose-built building modelling, design, and drawing offerings optimised specifically for projects in India to address:• Conceptual layout and framing • Advanced analysis, design, and detailing • Production of site-ready drawings • Bill-of-quantity reports.
“We are happy to team with Bentley to provide structural engineering users in India with a comprehensive, integrated, interactive environment for concrete buildings,” said Sajit V R Nair, CEO of S-Cube Futuretech. “We firmly believe this new offering will advance the benefits of B/IM for India’s concrete building industry.”
Santanu Das, Bentley’s senior vice president, design and simulation, said, “By combining the powerful capabilities of STAAD.Pro with those of S-Cube’s offerings representing best practices in India, we can provide users in India with unparalleled flexibility in their concrete building design workflows – to help them be even more competitive and successful. So we see this partnership as a win for Bentley, a win for S-Cube, and a win for concrete building design across India.”
STAAD.building includes the features and advantages of: • STAAD.Pro – structural analysis and design program• STAAD RCDC from S-Cube – a reinforced concrete design and detailing program featuring design structural components such as beam, column, slab, and shear wall, that automatically produces drawings and the bill of materials• STAAD Planwin from S-Cube – a structural building modelling program providing a physical building modelling environment to create concrete structural frames and components.
STAAD.ProBentley’s structural analysis and design software is anchored by STAAD.Pro. This software for structural engineers is capable of analysing any steel, concrete, timber, or aluminium structure exposed to static loads or dynamic responses; soil-structure interaction; and/or wind, earthquake, and moving loads.
STAAD.Pro supports more than 70 international design codes and 20 U.S. codes in six languages (Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, and Russian), and can be used for structures such as buildings, plants, bridges, tunnels, and stadiums. STAAD also is certified for the requirements of the nuclear industry in various countries.
Bentley’s B/IM AdvancementB/IM signifies Bentley’s advancement of the reach and benefits of BIM for better-performing infrastructure assets, and better-performing infrastructure projects through increased: • Depth of information modelling – beyond design visualisation to performance simulation, optioneering, and operational immersion • Breadth of information mobility – facilitating collaboration among multiple project disciplines and from design through construction and operations.
So we see this partnership as a win for Bentley, a win for S-Cube, and a win for concrete building design across India.- Santanu Das, Sr VP, design and simulation, Bentley
