India Composites Show 2012, an international exhibition and conference on composites as well as advanced-materials industry, took place from 1-3 November at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event was well received by the composites and user industry with an overwhelming attendance of 3,752 trade visitors. Trade visitors from 15 nations including USA, UK, Canada, Russia, Italy, China, and Germany visited the exhibition and conference which proved to be beneficial for visitors, exhibitors and conference delegates alike.
The two-day conference – India Composites Summit 2012, which was held on 1 – 2 November, featured various informative sessions and offered ample networking opportunities to the delegates. Some of industry’s sharpest minds were present and shared their valued opinions and expertise with the attendees. Conference theme was “Composites Sector in India: Exploring New Applications and Developing New Technology”.
Conference attendee and lead scientist of Polymer Science and Technology SABIC’s Innovative Plastics Program at GE ITC, JFWTC, Dr. Anirban Ganguly comments, “I enjoyed the conference and the stalls at exhibition. I hope that the event comes in a bigger way next time.” Similar was the response of Jeremy Dolby, Managing Director of Red Composites (UK) Ltd., “I found it really useful with plenty of interesting activities going on.”
Experiencing such overwhelming responses from the participants propelled the organisers to officially announce the 2nd edition of the India Composites Show. “We are thrilled by welcoming response we got from the industry. Our exhibitors are very happy with business generated and we have already received confirmations from existing participants and those companies who somewhat could not participate this year,” says Kiran Mittal, Managing Director of Manch Communications, organisers of ICS. The 2nd India Composites Show is scheduled for 24 – 26 October 2013 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
