CASE’s Crawler Excavators, the CX220C and CX220C LC, are equipped with advanced features and an efficient design, which sets them apart in the segment. These 22-tonne excavators are specifically designed to excel in the most challenging terrain. Equipped with a robust and dependable FPT “NEF 6” Series industrial engine, these machines offer a winning combination of high productivity and low fuel consumption. They are perfectly suited for various applications, including stone quarrying, general and road construction, earthworks, and mining. The electronically controlled FPT engine, featuring six cylinders, ensures fuel efficiency while delivering impressive performance. With a gross power output of 117 kW (157 hp) and a peak torque of 622 Nm at 1800 rpm, these excavators are ready to tackle demanding tasks easily.

The excavators have three working modes, five automatic energy-saving features, and ten auxiliary hydraulic settings.

The three working modes provide support for various applications’ versatility:

Auto: for normal digging, grading, lifting, and precision work.

Heavy: always grant the best balance between productivity and fuel economy for heavy operations.

Speed Priority: extra speed and power for the most demanding jobs that require maximum productivity. Operators can accommodate up to 10 auxiliary hydraulic flow and pressure settings to easily switch among different attachments without needing any mechanical adjustment.

The CX220C LC
The CX220C LC features a 33 percent stronger heavy-duty arm, boom, and undercarriage structure, improving the machine’s durability in harsh mining terrains. It offers an arm’s length of 1.9 m, 2.4 m, 2.9 m, and a 5.7 m boom length to cater to different customers’ needs. Its 152 kN bucket and 132 kN arm digging force ensure excellent productivity. Its 6.59-metre dumping height ensures safe loading in a high-body dumper. The CX220C LC Excavator has a maximum travel speed of 5.6 km/hr and a swing speed of 11.5 rpm. The range of bucket sizes available is 0.94, 1.0, and 1.1 cu. m. as per material density, application, and customer requirements.

The CX220C and CX220C LC are furnished with the CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System (CIHS), which provides exceptional machine control while conserving energy and fuel in all cycle time phases. The advanced hydraulic system offers higher breakout forces, improved swing speeds, and greater swing torque, resulting in faster cycle times and an 8 percent increase in productivity. The power boost function is automatically engaged as per application requirements. The electronic management of speed and power lowers fuel consumption and offers considerable productivity benefits in terms of outputs.

The new 7″ LED cluster helps constantly monitor the main machine parameters. The wide glazed surface with two pieces of the door’s window comes with front, top, and side visibility, and the openable roof window gives better visibility on top. The carefully designed, spacious, and safe cab has an ergonomic workstation with a fully adjustable seat and low noise and vibration. The new cab has thinner pillars and wide glass areas for improved visibility.

The excavators are equipped with CASE’s renowned Sitewatch telematics system, which provides real-time updates related to the maintenance, tracking, utilisation, and security of the machine and alerts the owner in real time on fuel usage, battery, geo-fencing, engine, etc.
