We are using homegrown technology and been ‘Atmanirbhar’ much before this word came into existence. Interarch is ‘Vocal for Local’ and our goal is to use Indian technology to compete with the world, says Arvind Nanda, CEO & Founder Director, Interarch Building Products Pvt Ltd.
Could you shed some light on pre-engineered metal building systems and its applications?
Pre-engineered buildings are used for all types of buildings. Anything from an airport to a petrol pump can be made using Pre-engineered buildings. Current applications range from manufacturing plants for auto, paints, FMCG, steel mills, power plant, warehousing, assembly plants, stadium, railway stations, metro and all types of infrastructure projects. Pre-engineered buildings are also used for high-rise buildings for educational institutions, schools, hospitals, commercial offices, malls and housing. Villas and hill houses are also becoming common using PEB. In other words, any building is possible to build using PEB.
Looking at the cost index, how PEB buildings are cost-efficient and energy-efficient vs conventional buildings?
Pre-engineered buildings are the only buildings which are fully green, fully recyclable and reusable, energy and acoustic efficient. Considering the value a customer gets from the speed of erection and the high quality of the building, it is extremely cost-effective. Since all buildings can be designed to the temperatures and noise levels required; PEBs are efficient on all counts.
How are you channelizing the growth and adoption of indigenous technologies in your PEB products?
Interarch’s pre-engineered buildings are indigenous and we are using homegrown technology. We have been ‘Atmanirbhar’ much before this word came into existence. We are ‘Vocal for Local’ and the only company to be in the top three pre-engineered buildings in India which is fully Indian owned. Our goal is to use Indian technology to compete with the world.
Which sectors you feel will define the market for PEB in the year 2021?
The emphasis being paid on the infrastructure sector by the government will make it the defining sector for growth. Besides this, E-retailers like Amazon, Flipkart and foreign manufacturing companies will define the year 2021 and 2022 for pre-engineered buildings.
Which projects is Interarch currently working on?
