JK Tyre wins ICC Award for water conservation

JK Tyre was recognised with the ICC Social Impact Award for its Water Conservation Initiative, specifically honored in the Clean Water and Sanitation category.

JK Tyre & Industries, a prominent player in the Indian tyre industry, has garnered recognition for its exemplary efforts in water conservation at the 6th Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Social Impact Awards 2024, hosted in Kolkata. In the Clean Water and Sanitation category, JK Tyre’s Water Conservation Project emerged as the indisputable winner, earning praise from the jury. The prestigious award was conferred by Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, to BS Dagar, Head of IR & CSR at JK Tyre & Industries.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, JK Tyre has embarked on numerous water conservation projects in villages surrounding its manufacturing facilities, empowering local communities to achieve water self-sufficiency. Over the past five years, the company has successfully constructed over 100 water conservation structures, bolstering water sources for community consumption. These initiatives have significantly impacted the lives of over 200,000 individuals by implementing enhanced water conservation measures.
