Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI), a subsidiary of Japan’s Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., has produced its 20,000th excavator at its manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant production milestone. This facility serves domestic and international markets, reinforcing Kobelco’s position as a key manufacturing hub in India.

KCEI is also setting up a new R&D facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing technology development and product innovation. This facility will focus on advanced engineering solutions, customisation for various market requirements, and strengthening Kobelco’s position as a key manufacturing and innovation hub in India.

KCEI manufactures various excavators in India, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 units. The company provides excavators to domestic customers, exports to over 16 countries, and maintains high-end leadership with over 25 percent market share.
