Construction industry is a growing market and business prospects for the next year seem upbeat given that players – large scale, medium scale and small scale – are pumping money into formwork, according to Manikandan Mahalingam, General Director, Paschal Formwork.

Brief about the products you exhibited at bC India 2018.
Customers are keen how products will help them get benefit in terms of saving both time and cost. Today, the skill level is reducing in India and everywhere across the world and workers coming on the project site have to work with labours only. Paschal Modular formwork is mainly designed for the labours who do not know anything about technology and engineering.

How has 2018 been for you and what is your outlook for 2019?
The year 2018 has been very good as compared to 2017. We have got over 15 per cent growth as against last year. Construction industry is a growing market and people on scales are investing into formwork. Year 2019 is also going to be equally challenging in terms of volume production and we are preparing to deal with the same by without compromising the quality and to support our customer by delivering our product with in 21 days . That is why we are planning to start local production which also goes in sync with Make in India. Paschal title name stand the meaning of, ‘Pa’ stands for patented and ‘schal’ stands for formwork in German language that’s what Paschal title formed. We are committed to providing high quality to customers in a very short notice and we are recognized in some of the Government sectors because of our product quality and prompt service.

Our factory in Vishakhapatnam which is mainly used for assembling, will soon be used for local production also that is expected to start in 2019. Further in our vizag factory we have facility called refurbishment process of the used materials to turn into like a new materials which unlike anyone else had in India and it will help our client to use their Paschal existing old materials in a very better way, further we proudly say Paschal Formwork only having the unique future of RFID, RFID chip is enabled in our each and every Modular panel to tack the history of the panel usages.

How can you make formwork more cost effective for construction companies?
The simple connection technology “Keybolt” and with one accessories will make work simplify in construction site. So, if there is requirement of 500-sq. m, with fast repetition that can come down to 250 sq. m. The repetitions will increase and the investment will reduce. This technology and combination of panels will give more flexibility in the construction site, Paschal Modular panel and special accessories can use for circular tank wall also and form a polygonal shape as required without adding any customisation in site.

How can formwork be made more sustainable?
While sustainability is very important, we are standing in the market when we provide quality product and support to the customers. We also give them pre-sales support starting from bidding, detailing, costing and budgeting. Once they bagged the project with our support it would be really helpful for the customers to complete the task as planned way. Besides support, quality, cost economy and service also aid in making formwork sustainable.
