Perkins appoints Abhinav Gupta as general sales manager for South Asia

Abhinav Gupta has been named general sales manager for South Asia at Perkins Engines Company Limited, succeeding Pankaj Jha. Abhinav will be in charge of Perkins brand engine sales to distributors and equipment manufacturers in India and throughout South Asia. Abhinav joined the firm in 2016 as South Asia regional marketing manager, where he has offered strategic   marketing leadership and demonstrated his ability to generate results and a strong customer focus.   is experience and knowledge of the region, customers, and industry make him an excellent fit for the new position. “I’m very excited to be appointed as general sales manager for South Asia, a post that allows me to continue to build on the great relationships I’ve developed with our  distributors and customers over the last six years as regional marketing manager,” Abhinav said.

“I’m happy to have Abhinav on my team as we work hard to drive additional growth, seize new opportunities, and  continue to expand awareness of the Perkins brand in India and the wider area,” said Tommy Quan, Asia sales director.

He has more than 21 years of industry expertise, establishing and implementing winning business strategies in a variety of disciplines such as sales and marketing, international operations, project
management, and company development. He is well-versed in  international business dynamics, having worked and travelled in several locations and cultures. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and has completed post-graduate courses in international business and management.
