Keeping pace with ‘Pradhan Mantri’s Awaas Yojana’, Satec Envir Engineering has ventured into development of affordable housing by acquiring land parcels in the outskirts of Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore and other tier-2 cities.
Satec has been manufacturing and has successfully delivered labour colonies, PEB structures, multi-storey buildings, solar structures, portable cabin solutions for big industry players such as Essar, Adani, L&T, Jindal to name a few. With its present expertise and rapid technology in PEB and prefab, Satec will produce low-cost housing in factory and will accelerate construction by assembling at site, all without compromising on safety, quality and durability.
Ramboll India will lend their expertise by vetting structural designs of the project, whereas Satec has partnered with China’s Shanghai Ionic Architecture & Engineering Co. Ltd. which will be lending a technical knowhow. During its Phase One, the company will construct 1,000 units of 30 square metres and 60 square metres, followed by adding another 1,000 units in Phase Two.
Amarprakash Agarwal, Managing Director of Satec Envir Engineering said, “PM’s vision of ‘Housing for All’ has opened a huge growth potential for low-cost housing developers, thus venturing into this segment is a strategic move for us to leverage on the opportunity laid by the nation’s untapped market. For years Satec has been productively delivering low-cost housing solutions by adopting modern, innovative green technologies and eco-friendly building materials for faster and quality construction of houses to our clients.”
The company is already procuring land in various locations and will soon launch its building plan revealing the time frame and total sq.mtr for its project. “The new endeavour will fully comply with government’s design and building plans suitable for various geo-climatic zones. The main strength behind the project will be Satec’s expertise and ability to deliver quality construction using design solutions that not only make the project, time and cost efficient but also ensure that the structure is low maintenance, has tolerance for seismic activities and great quality,” Agarwal added.
According to a statement released by the company, “Satec’s affordable housing project will be a well-engineered product ensuring least wastage, with quality assurance as it is built under high factory supervision, does not compromise on safety factor; in fact on the contrary, offers comparatively lesser land and noise pollution. The entire process is completed within 30 per cent of conventional construction methods, with comparatively less labour and lesser man-hours, all contributing towards economical aspects.”
