The Materials Handling Division of Steel Mart was established in the year 1986. An ISO 9001 -2008 certified company, Steel Mart (Materials Handling Division) started the business of lifting equipment and accessories such as chain pulley blocks, wire rope and chain slings, polyster webbing slings, dee and bow shackles, ratchets, turn buckles, eye bolts, wire rope pulley blocks, hooks, rings, thimbles, plate lifting clamps and many other rigging items in the year 1986. Today the company offers services across industry sectors include defence, automobile, engineering and construction. It also caters
to many small and medium scale industries.

The owner of Steel Mart (Materials Handling Division) is a 52 years old man with 35 years experience. Initially, he worked for 5 years to acquire knowledge and doing business since the past 30 years. The company started on a small scale with just three staff and a tiny office space of 250 square feet. Today the office area is approximately 800 square feet plus four godowns measuring approximately 4,000 square feet with adequate office staff to offer prompt and personalised services to all the customers.
