Tata Steel, the leading steel producer in India and a pioneer in the construction solutions industry, inaugurated the first fully automated construction service center in Odisha on June 30th 2023. The center is equipped with cutting-edge automatic manufacturing facilities and has a capacity of 3000 TPM (Tons Per Month) for producing customised cut & bend rebars, coupler threading, and welded wire mesh.

This groundbreaking facility, located in Tangi, Cuttack, spans 11 acres and is a result of a partnership between Tata Steel and Sagar Business Private Limited, a channel partner of the company.

Commenting on the newly inaugurated facility, Ashish Anupam, Chairperson of Marketing & Sales for Long Products at Tata Steel emphasised the significance of automation in the construction industry, stating that it is the driving force that will propel the sector towards unprecedented growth and agility. He expressed his delight in partnering with Sagar Business Pvt. Ltd. to launch the first-ever fully automated Construction Service Center in Odisha, marking the beginning of a new era of sustainable, precise, high-quality, and rapid construction.
