TIL Limited, a leading provider of material handling and road building equipment in India, launched new long boom cranes and a new reach stacker at EXCON 2017.
Mobiload 315 – the latest entrant from TIL in the pick-n-carry crane segment – has a maximum capacity of 15-tonne at 2.5-metre radius over front for pick-and-carry operations and 8-tonne at 2.5-metre radius for 360-degree slew on-tyre duties. Mobiload 315 features a 4-section boom with extended length reaching up to 17-metre. The first 3 sections are fully powered and fully synchronised and the 4th section is power-positioned. There is an optional 5-metre jib extension, allowing for a total boom tip height of 24 metres. Twin tyres on both front and rear allow for stable and strong on-rubber performance. Right hand front wheel drive and steer feature and the rigid chassis design give the machine a unique automotive feel and unmatched mobility. Continuous 360-degree slew is another unique feature that allows for efficient load handling. The ergonomically designed single man cabin enables the carriage of long items on the carry deck, subject to a maximum of 2 tonnes at a road speed of 15 kilometres per hour. The machine features an electronic load moment indicator to ensure safe operations. The engine is BS III CEV compliant.
Speaking on the occasion, Pinaki Niyogy, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, TIL, said, “The launch of Mobiload, the versatile pick-and-carry crane epitomising productivity, superior technology and performance, is a game changing initiative by TIL in the 15-tonne mobile crane segment.” He further added, “The machine is ideal for rental, construction, mining, shipping, oil refineries, heavy industries and engineering sectors in India.”
The second product launched at Excon was the RT 750 – the latest addition to the comprehensive range of rough terrain cranes from TIL. It has a maximum capacity of 50-tonne at 2.5-metre radius with 360-degree slew on outriggers and 12-tonne with 360-degree slew on tyres. The carrier has 4×4 wheel drive and 4-wheel steer. Stand-out feature of this crane is the 5-section formed boom having an extended length of 41.3 metres. Maximum boom tip height of 53.3 metres can be reached with an optional 10.1 metres lattice extension. The ergonomically designed, full-vision type operator’s cabin – located on the right-hand side – provides fatigue free operation and excellent visibility. The engine is BS III CEV compliant. Rough terrain cranes from TIL are compact and highly manoeuvrable, which make them performance-worthy for rough terrains and applications.
Niyogy said, “It may be recalled that TIL holds the distinction of rolling out the first indigenously manufactured rough terrain crane in India from its Kolkata factory. With RT 750, the company makes yet another addition to its impressive line-up of products that demonstrates its manufacturing prowess.”
Also on the launch pad was the new Hyster-TIL ReachStacker for everyday container handling applications, developed specifically to meet the demands of ports and other tough container handling applications in growing markets. “The new Hyster TIL RS45 is here to set a standard in low cost of ownership. However, there is no compromise on Hyster’s principles of durability and toughness,” said Rajesh Wazarkar, Managing Director, Hyster-Yale Lift Trucks India Pvt Ltd. “These trucks offer the same quality components, durability and toughness as any Hyster Big Truck, alongside intelligent Hyster design to deliver lower fuel consumption and longer tyre life.”
Developed to be the ‘work horse’ of applications focused on efficient every day container handling, the truck will be available in two versions, RS 45-27 and RS45-31.
The reach stackers are built at TIL’s factory in Kharagpur, West Bengal, as per Hyster design and quality standards in line with those produced at Hyster’s Nijmegen plant in the Netherlands, Wazarkar informs.
On behalf of TIL, Niyogy added, “The new RS 45 will not only be ‘Made in India’ but also partly developed in India. The local manufacturing by TIL provides distinct competitive advantages to its customers – by reducing delivery lead times and improving total cost of ownership. In addition, customers are also able to access door step aftermarket support through a pan-India distribution network. The Hyster-TIL ReachStacker has already become a preferred choice for customers in India, having gained significant market share in the reach stacker market in India within a short span of time.”
TIL also displayed a range of crushing and screening solutions that the company offers in alliance with its strategic technology partner, Astec Aggregate & Mining Group – a part of Astec Industries Inc., USA, viz. Track Mounted Jaw Crusher – FT 2650, Vertical Shaft Impactor – VSI 2500, Hydra-Jaw Crusher – H 3244 and Cone Crusher – K 300+.
