Initiated in 1996, Mumbai-based VED PMC Limited is one of the major block manufacturing companies in India. It also manufactures different types of pre-cast concrete products to build the commercial and residential buildings, roads and pavement etc.
VED PMC participated in Excon for the first time and received a good response from the visitors. According to H Ramachandran, Director, VED PMC, “Excon 2011 was better compared to the 2009, we are only expecting people from our industry to visit as there are participants from other industries too who are looking for some kind of mutual agreements between two companies for survival”.
“VED PMC is planning to set up five plants for AME ecoline in different locations across India. In Karnataka itself two plants would be set up within a year. The company is in discussion for setting up plants in different locations in India. Apart from this VED PMC is planning to set up Autoclave Aerated Concrete (AAC) plant near Mumbai and also is in the process setting-up plants for readymade rebars”, Mr. Ramachandran announced.
“We are also discussing with lot of regional people about this concrete block standard. The new plant will come in next six months and all other will start in 2013”, he concludes.
